Both series have been dormant close to 7 years now with shadow of the tomb raider releasing back in 2018 and AC 7 releasing in 2019 from what we know which do you see finally releasing first?

Or maybe both in the same year/Month.

I really liked Tomb Raider reboot and 2nd game, however, by the time I was done with the second game I was over the crafting and skill tree. That and every other game since then does that crap now.

Long story short, they need to completely revamp the games.

I am hoping Ace combat ? I must have at least 1 game per generation of Ace Combat. I don't know why it's taking so long to carry over the AC7 team and update the graphics engine a bit. It almost feels like only three guys at Namco are working on this game, considering they took seven years and still have nothing to show for it.

Tomb raider just saw its 6 mainline games get remastered. I know It doesn't count as a new entry. But it's def not dormant as a franchise.

I am excited to see where they take it after the reboot trilogy

Im a big fan of Tomb Raider aswell, im nervous about the next game though, its going to be a big change now we are playing as a man.

Thinking we will see a trailer the coming weeks with a release date around Feb.

Ace Combat, easy....

Tomb Raider would required ANOTHER reboot, and after this last trilogy... well, even square wasn't sure Lara Croft (LARA CROFT, FOR GODS SAKE!) could be a main character (there is no other explanation for so unnecessary gruesome scenes on the first game and that big A SURVIVER IS BORN on the ending... god damm it square, im not blind, i can see she is a survivor!)

Ace Combat is one of my favorite franchises, with Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere (JP) still being one of my favorite games of all time ever since I played it for the first time over 25 years ago.
That being said, it seems crazy to me that, after AC6, it takes them so many fucking years to make these games, when all you need is a tutorial shooting down five bombers, a stage where you fly inside a canyon, a stage where you avoid circles on the map, and a stage where you fly inside a tunnel , and then fill everything in between with timed multi-purpose missions.

Playing as a man? No more Lara? You are kidding right? Can't be tomb raider without her.

I'm personally looking forward to either. The first 2 TRs in the trilogy reboot were alright, the third one fell off a cliff.. I forced myself to complete that one.

Ace Combat 8 almost certainly comes out first.
They were already an Unreal Engine studio they got their mechanics and workflow down pat, they will release first.

Crystal is working on Perfect Dark while also onboarding Unreal Engine 5 so I can imagine they are alittle ways out compared to Ace Combat.
They are also under Embracer who are still cost cutting, and Tomb Raider next is supposed to be published by Amazon Games...........really should have just sold them to Microsoft.

Then again maybe the next Ace Combat hasnt even been greenlit

I haven't played a single ace combat. I hope tomb raider is a success. I enjoyed the first two games of the last reboot. I hope we see a reveal this year.
