It's so weird because I just spoke to the guy earlier, said a close friend. He always said stuff like he would die before he got old. But he

Man this is a sad week for actors. What's going on?

Man, cocaine gotta be one of the best underground business in Hollywood.

Wow. How horrible. I know my little sister, who loves Deliver Us, will be horrified.

I believe he was in a HUGE number of other black comiedies as well. I've seen his face around a few times, but this is the first time I really identified him.

Not that I'm defending the selfish act of suicide, but knowing people personally who have committed suicide, it's always tragic for me to think of someone is such a dark, hopeless (in their minds) state.

I think someone dying during their saddest moment is pretty sad. I do not feel remorse though. I doubt I had anything to do with it personally.

My buddy in high school committed suicide. He had a manic depression and secretly went off of his medication to try and "beat it" by himself. One day a major imbalance hit him and he hung himself. He didn't show up for basketball and we knew something was wrong. The guy was one of the happiest people I ever knew (while medicated), but when he went off of the meds his mind wasn't right. His journal entries were full of him excitedly writing about how great he had been feeling for the past few days since going off the pills too.

Suicide is sad. If you don't know what's going on in the person's head (and how could you?), you can't judge the person.

Wow, someone suffering from depression and commiting suicide isn't sad now?

Anyway, you will all be glad to know that this is a fake rumor from May.

Some of you at least, Not the jackasses like above (ToxicAdam, and the one who got banned) ^^ and especially the one with the mario "Thumbs Up"

I think the Mario was sarcastic; "Good job getting yourself banned".

Because he died? You don't have to feel sorry, but don't badger other people when they do.

But do you really feel sorry for the guy? Its some dude that you have never heard of that offed himself. Are you going to spare any emotions for him, or are you going to say "Who?" and move on with your life?

Lyricist Lounge Show was ahead of it's time

now it's called Wild'n Out

I always thought he was from DC. He just came off as your typical MD cat, like Martin. RIP.

Picture your darkest, most painful moment. Then picture somebody who continually experienced something so much worse that the prospect of ending their life seemed the best alternative. Obviously it's difficult for me to feel any variety of personal grief for somebody I don't know, but the general notion of somebody being that bad off warrants sympathy.

I never saw anything wrong with suicide. Sure, it might be a little selfish if you leave people grieving, but it's equally selfish to want someone who finds life to be so unbearable to keep on living just so you won't get sad.

Jim Carrey -depressed
Martin Lawrence - depressed
Owen Wilson - tried to commit suicide

and this guy kills himself.

These are all comedians. I am not saying that other actors in hollywood don't hace issues, but this seems to be a wakeup call for the comedy business in Hollywood

I think you wonder around threads and say the most off-the-wall things that go against everyone's natural inclinations (especially in the case of your taste in movies) and this comment is no exception. I do happen to agree with you in this case, though.

not everyone can understand my fine-dining genius wit!

I mostly just thought it was funny that was the guy's avatar after such an asinine statement :D

I don't feel sorry for people who commit suicide.

They're taking the selfish way out, and hurting their family and friends in the process.

Sorry, but that's the way I feel.

What are they waking up to? It's not like the whole wrestling and steroids thing where there is an external factor that you can take out.

Manic depression is a very, very common thing in comedy because the highs that someone bipolar will go through can create something far funnier and more creative than anyone who's "level" can ever hope to.

But of course those wonderful, wonderful highs come with the lowest of lows and the absolute torment that comes with it.

For a better idea of how manic depression affects the famous, I'd suggest watching Stephen Fry's Secret Life of the Manic Depressive:

So if someone you knew/cared about actually were depressed enough to drive themselves to suicide, you wouldn't be sympathetic. Come on dude, have a heart and an open mind.
