Adam West was an underrated Batman. Make this film

I know this a joke, but I actually agree.

The problem with Batman is that it's far too dark and serious for a character designed to sell comics and merchandise to children. The latest film was rated 15 in the UK making it unwatchable for many children who wanted to see it in the cinema, but there were some it wanted it to have a 18/R rating! That's ridiculous and I seriously side eye anybody who wants an adult Batman film.

Batman needs to go back to being light-hearted and family friendly. I'd be down for a full blown film reboot that mimics the Adam West TV series or at least Batman Forever.

Yea, definitely. I'll watch the new one because I'm always down for more Batman, but after watching the Bale movies a couple of times and 89 last year, I still like Batman 89 more. It's got a pretty good amount of goofy stuff, before they got too dark with Returns. I need to see Forever again though, I only saw it once when it released.

The reason why Batman is easily the best comic book character, and one of the best fictional characters full stop, is because he can be presented in so many ways… all of which are equally valid. I’d love to see someone actually make a lighter Batman project for kids that wasn’t a cynical exercise in toy selling like that Schumacher garbage.

And Adam West was the most comic accurate Batman of all time… for the comics that were around at the time he was.

Normally I think using the likeness of dead actors is in extremely poor taste, but you know Adam West would have been all for this idea. He lived (and loved) silly humor and cameos.

This is hilarious and so well done. That shot with the old batmobile flying out of the explosion is awesome. West woulda loved it for sure.
