Found this over at PSP Vault:

Not the sturdiest solution, but worth trying out for those of us who already own MS and can't or don't want to buy MS Duo cards at the moment. Note that the author didn't test it with a MS Pro, although he had a MS Pro Duo and used the MS adaptor, which worked.

My god, how skanky and impractical. You'd think if you're splashing out hundreds of dollars on a PSP plus games you've got no qualms about dumping $50 on a memory stick...

Hook up some sort of small HD and I'll be impressed.

For $30, I just go ahead and get the MS Duo. :|

Yeah if someone can get a HDD to attach to the PSP's USB slot ... that would be amazing.
Because HDs are very portable and en vogue

Now, if we were talking compactflash (So we han use IBM's compactHD thing) or a manufacturer uses an Ipod sized HD in an encasing, I would be first in line, but that's very improbable.

It would rule to connect some CF to the PSP. I don't know if it's possible though, as CF has about a bagillion pins and MS only has 5 or 6.

There are a lot of companies that make USB hdds that are about ipod size, maybe a little bigger. They're also fairlry reasonably priced per gig compared to larger USB HDDs. Much better value than memory sticks.

This would be cool for people who seriously want to use their PSP to hold lots of MP3s and the like; when your PSP is in your bag and you're just using the remote, who cares if it's got a dongle hanging out the side. That, and if you're really going to buy several gigs of memory for some reason, the MS Pros are a good 20% cheaper. Buy a couple of gig sticks and that adds up. Oh, and you can't get the Duo gig sticks except off of ebay right now, so the fact that the MS Pros are actually available is good too. :)
