Alien: Rogue Incursion is the classic horror franchise's first game built from the ground up for virtual reality. Developer Survios stopped by IGN Live to share how the iconic Xenomorphs will hunt players down in VR, thanks to unique pathing that makes their movements entirely unpredictable. Plus, Survios shares its ultimate goal with Rogue Incursion: To make players rip their VR headset off out of sheer terror.
you enter the little girl’s room, after that ball mysteriously rolls across the floor. Then out of nowhere all the lights go out and the ambient sound stops, to the point where I thought my headset maybe died or got unplugged. And like 3 eternal seconds later this little girl just whispers “STAY. AWAY.” right in your ear.
And I just instantly took the headset off and said out loud “You got it! Don’t have to tell me twice” and I didn’t come back to the game for like 2 weeks. It was so awesome.
VR is made for horror along with cockpit sims but... but the horror is a little intense most of the time. As hard as it is for me to get into the mood for it, I'm getting this.
I think this game is going to surprise people with how good it is. Survio made Westworld: Awakening for VR, and it nailed the show's atmosphere but with the horror ramped up significantly. They can do Alien right.

Dead set the scariest moment I have had in gaming and life! I wasted so much flame thrower ammo just spraying it everywhere just like bill paxton in Aliens.
Alien: Rogue Incursion is the first official VR Alien game. Art Director Tate Mosesian and Writer Alex White tell us why it had to go that route and what iconic moments from the film franchise might have influenced the game.
I expect to be there Day 1 on PSVR2 but I'm not getting hyped. I gotta play it first. VR is easy to hype and just as easy to disappoint.
Propagation: Paradise Hotel is by far the scariest VR game that I've played. The game is so damn smooth, it's incredibly easy to get fully immersed because the jank is near non-existent.
The first few hours in RE7 were also petrifying. Hard to move at times when Jack is stalking you in the beginning. I hid behind a couch for like 5 minutes in an attempt to gather courage, lol.
I hope this is better than I'm assuming. I love the Alien IP so much, so I always want the best with everything related to it. I just really wish I cared more about VR. Still hoping for the best!
