Alien: Rogue Incursion - Part One, a single player action-horror game set in the Alien universe, is getting an upgrade. And you won't even need a VR headset to play. Alien: Rouge Incursion - Part One: Evolved Edition hits PlayStation 5 (PS5) and PC September 30, 2025 and features "even deadlier Xenomorphs and enhanced visuals."

This seems built for VR so I'm not sure how it'll translate to not have it.

Was this even a good game compared to isolation?

Before it was previously announced I remember reading somewhere this game was going to be a hybrid game from the beginning, but they never mentioned it again after that.

Even some of the first reviews said the game's mechanics felt a bit off, like a flat game modded to be playable in VR.

As for the game itself, it's an indie Resident Evil-style game. Nothing to do with Isolation.

RE style game? So combat and fun with cool characters and atmosphere?

Mechanics-wise specifically. It's a slow-paced shooter with backtracking and puzzle solving like 7 Biohazard.

As for the cool characters and atmosphere part, I don't know. I never paid attention to that.

Color me interested.

Will wait for impressions on this update.

Much like how Alien Isolation was a love letter to the first Alien movie, Alien: Rogue Incursion is a love letter to its sequel, Aliens. Find out how in this interview with TQ Jefferson and Eugene Elkin of Survios as they talk about Alien: Rogue Incursion Part 1 Evolved Edition

I played the VR version and I had so much fun and it felt quite immersive for an Alien game. Save with a few flaws, of course.
I'll re-play it once it launches on PC. It feels like it's going to be different.

I like the quote from the guy they had on IGN yesterday who said Alien Isolation was a love letter to Alien, they think this game is a love letter to Aliens. Envisaged to be a multi-part story as well so hopefully this will do well enough for more to come.

This game is a ridiculous piece of shit. It's a fetch quest, go here, press button game with hilariously poor AI aliens that constantly respawn in the most predictable places. The story is crap, the acting is crap, the music is crap and oh, did I tell you I bought the game and didn't even know it was like part 1 of whatever? Yeahhhhh.. I really do not recommend this game to anyone.

How no one in the team considered that infinite respawns on a timer was a very stupid game design idea is beyond me.
