All-girl Boy Scout troop starts in Ohio

Parody of actual AJUMP23
This really isn’t new. One of the people I go to college with her daughter has been in Boy Scouts for a while because she thought Girl Scouts was boring. Scouts has practical lessons that all people can find useful regardless of gender.

it isn’t a big deal really. I actually like that it is all girl instead of mixed because girls and boys act differently when the other gender is present.

Hi, I am a moron, so I say something stupid now.

Boys like their own spaces just as much as girls do.

I worked as an IT teacher for elementary school kids while I was studying and the boys loved to have a male teacher doing male stuff with them. And I was pretty much the only male teacher they have ever seen.

Boys have their whole lives to cope with women, at home, at school, everywhere.

Leave them their own space, if you want girls to learn something about nature and survival create your own thing, but leave something for the boys.

If the boys want, they can join you, if they don't well, who cares. But taking away their space to create new groups within their space is just spiteful.

In England we have the Scouts for boys and Guides for girls, and we just went to the same camp grounds together, to do 90% of the same activities when I was a Scout 20+ years ago, and from some of my inlaws, who are troop leaders, the same is true today.

Frankly the idea that the actual children or anyone running these groups think this bollocks is a good idea, and not just confusing the hell out of everyone, seems ludicrous to me. All I can imagine is going on here is middle class parents weaponising their children for woke points.

Bingo. I’ve done a lot of volunteer work for children, and many times the boys learned better from men, as they would pay more attention. Same thing for girls and women. This isn’t to say the other shouldn’t be involved in raising children, but it is stifling education with the complete absence of a same sex parental figure

Not sure if serious or deliberately trolling

Someone's gotta get a badge in making sandwiches hun
Do you know what actually happens at Girl Scout meetings? Sandwich crafting is unfortunately lacking (a skill all could afford to spare the world the injustice of soggy bread)

You mostly just glue shit together, team build, and sell cookies once a year, it could use a revamp

And if anyone starts a boys-only Boy Scouts (you know, what it was for decades) it's problematic and misogynistic.

It's just more proof that any space that is female-only is ok and any space that is male-only has to change. And people call that equality. A store that specializes in buying and selling used baby clothes can legally get away with hiring only women. A place that does oil changes who tried to hire only men would get sued.
