All right, everyone, let's do this. I'm developing a neurosis from the comments I have gotten, both on GAF and in real life, from people thinking I'm much older than I am.

So I want to resolve this definitively, and who better to turn to than GAF?

Err, okay, so maybe it's not a good idea at all, but assuming people give honest answers, and don't simply continue to mess with my head, I'd just like to know what the consensus is.

So without further ado, RATE MY AGE

Yea, I'd say 25. And I'd like to add the to "lose the glasses" crowd. I got contacts not too long ago, they just make you look a lot better.

I think the hair may be a big part of it. You've kind of got that politician-in-their-40's style going on.

Also, you should try wearing tighter clothing that fits you better. I just recently switched from baggy clothes to some trendy new threads, and the difference was remarkable. It looks like you work out judging by that shovel picture, so show it off!

God that's cold...and wrong. Are you 16 years old or something? I've noticed that young people tend to overshoot people's ages when guessing.


I'd say 24-28 depending on the pic. As stated, ditch the specs and change the hair style and you'll shave off a couple of years.


EDIT: Oh yeah, ditch the pencilled-in moustache. I think it'd help you look a bit younger.

I'm basing that on another picture, one he posted months ago. He looked exactly like James Spader. But yeah, he does kinda look like a Spader/Sagat lovechild.

I have the opposite problem. I'm almost 23 and many people think I'm still in high school.

You look 27-32. And its not just your glasses. You could use a different hair cut. The style looks like someone in their 30s. And thin your eyebrows a little. And get rid of whatever hair you have above your lip. Shave closer, get electrolysis.... do something about it. Ever think about dying your hair a different color? Something darker?

To be honest, I think it's your eyes that make you look the oldest. They are very dark colored. They look like they belong to someone who has lived a pretty full life. I know it might sound crazy but they give me the impression of "life experience" or something. Maybe just try contacts anyway? Perhaps a pair that will give you a different eye color? Blue or green maybe?

I probably would've said around 25. In the up-close pictures, you don't have any of the telltale signs of an aged face (fine lines, age spots from sun exposure, no major wrinkles). Alot of those show up when you're 30-ish

I had originally said "Groucho", as in Groucho Marx, because for some reason I forgot that he had a thick moustache (I thought he had a thin one like you have for a moment), so I changed it to "pencilled-in".


As for your hair, just go to a stylist (preferably female) and tell her to do what she thinks would look good without chopping it all off. Your hair is cut short enough that you'll at least be able to restyle it. She doesn't even have to cut it-- I just think it's the way you're wearing it. It's a very classic (read: old) hairstyle. Then again, I'm not one to talk lol-- I'm not too adventurous with my hairstyle either.


EDIT: Btw, I happen to think you look fine, but it seemed as if you wanted feedback as to how to make yourself look "younger". I wouldn't have said anything otherwise.
