“LOVE IS LOVE,” the comics anthology book to benefit victims of Orlando’s Pulse nightclub tragedy, not only topped the New York Times’ bestseller list for graphic books — the project has now raised more than $165,000 for the cause, according to its publishers.

“I am overwhelmed by the response to ‘Love is Love,’ ” Marc Andreyko, the book’s curator and project organizer, said in a statement about the new figures.

“Love is Love” features a who’s-who of top comics talent, as well as such celebrity contributors as Patton Oswalt and Taran Killam, plus “Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins, who wrote the foreword. The 144-page anthology, a team-up between IDW Publishing and DC Comics, features a striking array of one- and two-page comics.

The title, which cracked the New York Times’ bestseller list for graphic books shortly after its late December release, is heading into its fifth printing, IDW said.

“I never would have imagined that this project would not only raise so much money,” Andreyko said, “but touch so many lives.”

All proceeds from digital and print sales have been donated to the OneOrlando Fund to aid those affected by the shooting at the gay nightclub last June that left 49 dead and 53 injured.

“Equality Florida is so grateful for this project that has been such an inspiring and powerful way to respond in the face of tragedy,” said Nadine Smith, chief executive of Equality Florida, which is handling the proceeds. All materials for the book were donated.

“We must uproot the hatred that breeds discrimination and violence,” Smith said in a statement, “and having top storytellers and illustrators combine their talents makes ‘Love Is Love’ a potent and accessible tool.”

The book, which recently received a GLAAD Award nomination for outstanding comic, was editorially guided by IDW’s Sarah Gaydos and DC’s Jamie Rich.

“Words cannot express how grateful we continue to be for the outpouring of generosity our community’s received,” Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer said in a statement about the comic, “as people … continue to contribute funds to OneOrlando to deliver the critical help and healing the victims’ families and survivors need.”

“We just need to keep fighting the good fight,” Andreyko said, “and love will win.”

Hope it wins the GLAAD award as well.
