I just placed a bid on Star Trek: DS9 Season 1 on eBay. I'm the current high bidder, and the price is miraculous: $24.99. I'm starting to wonder though, since they claim it's factory sealed: why would anyone let a box set that goes for $107 in stores go for less than $30? How did this wonderful deal come to fruition?

hey, I just won a borsalino hat on ebay for 26 bucks. These things range in price from 150-1000 dollars.

Make sure it's not one of those damned "you're paying for information on how to get the item for wholesale" or some shit like that. Or it's pirated. Or you're lucky. YMMV.

dude, you'd better check into shipping charges and also where it's from.

if it's hong kong or another asian country-it's probably booted.

otherwise, you may just have gotten lucky on a good deal. they do exist on ebay(they're just hard to find).

Shit, I didn't bother to look into the seller's feedback before. It's odd though, half "Recieved immediately! Would do business again!" and half "Warning! Been a month and never recieved!". Oh, and 36 of the 38 negative feedbacks were in the past month. Maybe I should retract my bid...

I would recommend that. Negative feedback in individuals = probably got ripped off by a wholesaler, and is acceptable. Negative feedback in wholesalers = people who are ripping off those individuals.

Is there a reserve limit. If so you might win but unless your bid is equal or higher than the reserve he doesn't have to sell it to you.
