Amazon DD Sales Thread

I can confirm Dragon Age Orgins Ultimate Edition activates on Origin. In case anyone was wondering.

I activated the DA:O UE on Origin as well. But it only shows up in my game library as DA:O. So I logged into the Bioware community site to activate the 2nd code Amazon gives you for the DLC. I assumed the DLC was the ridiculous laundry list including Awakening, but on the Bioware site it only lists 3 minor DLC packs as unlocked now. So I feel like there are several things missing but I want to assume all this 'missing' DLC is already activated in the Origin DA:O activation. Is that right?

Sorry if I'm less than coherent. Still a bit buzzed from the NYE party as I'm thumbing this on my iPad as I lie in bed at 4:30 am.

That's really weird because it shows up as as Ultimate on my Origin and I know because I had originally the Vanilla version and now DA:O shows up twice as the Ultimate and Vanilla.

Sounds like they gave you the wrong code because when you download it from Origin it's 27 gigs and it includes all the DLC but not authorized which needs to be activated on there community forums.

Another thing to note is that ultimate is only on version 1.04 so you will need to download 1.05 to authorize your DLC as well or else for some reason it won't be even though I redeemed the code.

Ah, thanks for the help. I'm hoping it is Amazon's fault because I'm sure it could be resolved a lot less painfully than if I had to go through EA. I'll take a closer look at it today and send Amazon CS an email.

Anyone know if Saboteur can be registered on Origin?

I had a retail copy of the game which couldn't be activated on Origin. I had to talk to an EA customer service person who added it after i gave them my key. I expect this will be true for the Amazon version as well. The upside is their customer support is pretty efficient and it should be a fairly painless process should you decide to do it.

So it looks like the $5 codes I got for Dungeon Defenders and Renegade Ops are as worthless as the Steam coupons? The 'best-selling' games are either shit (Darkspore, Duke Nukem, Medal of Honor, Spore), or more than double their sale price just a few days ago. Dead Island for $39.97 -$5 when it was apparently $11 just a week ago on Amazon itself (which I missed) and is now $20 on Steam today (too expensive for me). Thanks Amazon, lol.

Well if I had a decent computer I'd get Battlefield 3 in a heartbeat. It's $24.99 with my discount $5 code.

I noticed a lot of games are now more expensive, surprise surprise, now that the codes can be used. There are a few good deals though, Sims (not interested), Spore (not sure), and Mount & Blade:Warband (which I think I might get).

Anyone interested in MW3 for $38 plus a $5 credit?

So the 5$ credit was during this sale right? Not all of December or anything?

Whatever you bought in December gave you a $5 credit which now works on any digital game from now until the end of the month. You no longer get a $5 promo credit with purchases though.

I guess DS3 for 4.99$ earlier didn't give me a code then.

Updated OP. Also note that games and prices may change throughout the month so if u don't see something u want now then save ur coupons!

BTW I plan on keeping this updated with the weekly deals and whatever else Amazon runs and I apologize if I'm not the best since this is the first OT type thread I've ever dealt with lol.

Oh you got a code? My mistake then. I guess if you use a code you do not get another code which I did.
No I bought it when it first appeared in December as 4.99$ (Dec 11 my account says). I guess I didn't get a code for it or it didn't count towards it.

Is there any DRM on Witcher 2 if bought from Amazon? It's $20 and I have a $5 code. How does getting a game from Amazon "work"? Ideally it would be like GoG .

I bought DA Ultimate Edition and Amazon sent me a regular DA CD-Key.

Fuck this. Contacting support now...

Witcher 2 is DRM free everywhere but steam. Haven't used the Amazon DL service myself but afaik it dls them like D2D where u DL the main file or whatever then u install it.

I bought Assassin's Creed a second time in order to gift it. But the "Your Games and Software Library" section isn't giving me any keys, and it only has one download button. But it does have "Quantity purchased: 2." Is it possible to give a copy to someone else? Or did I just use my coupon for nothing?

Edit: Looks like the game doesn't require serial activaton...

Yup. They only include what the publisher gives them and its a store only. You basically download an ISO
