Bulletstorm is kind of the Tony Hawk of shooters.
I played Bulletstorm once-through last year and kinda forgot about it. I bought it on a sale a couple months later and recently played through it again. When you really dig around and experiment with the kills, and if it clicks with you, it becomes addictive and fun as fuck.

Oh yeah and Bulletstorm is AWESOME. Immature though it may be, the gameplay is much more fun than most of the modern shooters I've recently played.

What's funny is the dialogue is profane and over-the-top, but the story's pretty serious in tone. It's not badly told, either, provided you bother paying attention to it.

Unless I'm reading wrong, it looks like Bulletstorm requires a GFWL account. Not sure how I feel about that. I've heard some people have ended up losing saves among other things because of it. Is it really that bad?
The only inconvenience it's been for me is occasionally it asks me to log in when I boot the game up. I then have to remember my login, lol. But then it's smooth sailing. And you should do anything to play Bulletstorm on PC, even strange things with small farm animals.

Comparing Bulletstorm and DAO is retarded. They are completely different games in different genres, which means they have different standards to uphold. If we're talking about depth, strategy, writing, choice & consequence or longevity, then DAO is the better game. If we're talking about visceral, over-the-top action, then Bulletstorm is the better game. Neither game is inherently better than the other because they pursue different goals.
TBH, I was in the same boat but caved because I had a second code. Installing Origin, I quite like the client, it's clean and sleek. Sucks having two clients installed, but yeah.

You only need Origin for redeeming keys and downloading your games.

I'd download their beta 1.05 patch before anything to get a new updater that might actually work. took me so long to properly register the DLC.

Even though I got the code from Amazon US, the store only lets me activate the game in German, since I have a German IP.
I'm currently trying to get the support to change that to English, but it's taking a while.
