Bought dragon age pack, I need to see if there's a demo to bulletstorm before I pay $7. Maybe I'm just burnt out on shooters but just looking at it doesn't do much for me.

anyone get dragon age 1 up and running?

i activated DLC on bioware social and downloaded UE off origin.

when i run it and start UE, then login my bioware social profile, it says unauthorized for my DLC, even though it shows a checkmark for all my installed DLC.

is everything alrite? should i start a game? :(

f his bioware social crap.

edit: looks to be common issue

told you to download the beta 1.05 patch to save you trouble. if that doesn't work, manually edit the XML file to authorize yourself. gotta find a way to get dragon age 2 still, hm.

Alright I just spent all afternoon trying to figure out this clusterfuck of a system for getting DLC and I think I figured out part of the problem (at least for me). Origin doesn't auto patch the damn game. You have download the patch the old fashioned way from bioware which has a fix for Dragon Age 1's DLC problems.

For Dragon Age 2 you still have to download the latest patch from bioware directly as well as downloading The Black Emporium DLC file (Profile > Your Registered Game Content > More info button next to it).

edit:

Btw Dragon Age 1's 1.05 patch isn't beta anymore: http://social.bioware.com/page/da-patches

Also see this link for Dragon Age 2's patches: http://social.bioware.com/page/da2-patches

haha, thx but i just figured it auto-patched.

guess not. i fixed it using the forum link i posted but updated to 1.05 anyways just in case. good lookin out.

we meet again, morrigan.

edit: i see some DLC is standalone and not in the main story? is there a certain order guide somewhere? i played it on 360 with no DLC.

should i start with some DLC disabled? i'm a nit and like to play things in chrono order

Hrm I still seem to be having some issues. Couple of the minor DLC items (Ser Isaac's armor) show as locked in Dragon Age 2's extra's menu but its shown as unlocked on my Bioware profile. *sigh*

edit: Hrm scratch that it appears now. Its been a couple of hours since I registered the DLC key I got off amazon though.

So I guess:

Step 1: Patches from bioware's site
step 2: Make sure to register the dlc codes on bioware's site and use that same log in within the game.
step 3: sacrifice a steam game or something to the EA DRM gods.
step 4: ???

I think chronologically, only Leilana's Song (stand-alone) comes from Dragon Age: Origins. All the other DLC can be played whenever you want. Playing the DLC lets you import your character into the game, and once you beat it, it sometimes gives you a good item for your main game. I wouldn't worry about the stand-alone DLC too much.

Is Origin using some kind of witchcraft to download games? I'm getting an avarage of 2.5 MB/s, even though every other test assures me my connection only goes up to 1.7 MB/s.

Anyone has two $5 codes they would like to trade for some Valve coupons (-33% any Valve game and -50% Tales of Monkey Island)?

I would like to get both Crysis games, but I am having a hard time justifying the purchase because I don't think I will play them anytime soon.

okay, since i missed Alice, i've realistically got no use for this 50% off code - lemme know if someone can put it to good use!

WTF, Amazon just sent me a mail because my Dead Space 2 key had an error. They informed me that they changed the key for a new one.

The thing is that I already activated the key on Origin without any problems. I haven’t installed the game yet, so I hope it doesn’t give me any problems when I do.

I got that email too, but I didn't use my previous key

same situation. curious to see if the old key is deactivated or what before i give out the second one, but i don't want to download the 10gb for a game i've already played to death on ps3. maybe i'll try tonight.

I'm at work so I can't try anything right now. I would like to know how this affects the Origin version we got.

Best scenario: We now have two DS2 keys for Origin.

I tried playing DS2 and it failed the 'release date check'.

I had a problem with my key. It did activate fine on origin. When I went to launch DS2 for the first time though an activator opened up that asked to insert the serial again. The original key I had did not work. I had to email Amazon twice but they finally replaced the key and the second one worked. Looks like it may not have been just an isolated case.

How are you guys getting the promo codes in such apparent volume? This thread is the biggest tease on the internet.

There were so many good games for dirt cheap during the holiday sale. I bought:

Dungeon Siege 3 for $5
Total War: Shogun 2 for $7.50
Renegade Ops for $3
Just Cause 2 for $2.49
Sonic Generations for $10.49

And maybe 1 or 2 more

i just got a 2 dollar gift card from Amazon for purchasing Crysis Maximum Edition during the December sale. guess the price went down shortly after that so now i get Bulletstorm for free when it hits the Daily Deal!
