What in the hell...

seriously, what is up with the PC versions graphics when you play online? Looks like a poor attempt at upscaling a first generation PS2 game. HORRIBLE...unacceptable

Does Renegade Ops come with the DLC like when it was on sale in December, or is it just the base game? Don't see any mention on the product page so I'm guessing just base.

Edit: Just confirmed from a post on the Steam forums that it does. Now to wait for my Amazon gift card order to go through!
 
Not sure if anyone else is looking for these, but when the Sega Genesis games show up on Steam sales I'm always interested, but they always seem just a bit too pricey. As such I jumped on the current Amazon deal, which is the full 48-game Genesis mega pack for $7.50.

I'm the type who enjoys retro games, but always hates how they stick the prices to you on VC and as remakes. So I'd just be ashamed if I didn't go for a good chunk of the best of Sega's 16-bit library for under $10. Smart pricing should be rewarded.

Indeed, I can confirm that the Steam key Amazon gives you activates the game along with both of the DLC packs (Coldstrike Campaign and Reinforcement Pack). Makes it a really good deal, since the DLC alone costs around $8 total.
 
You can only get newer Total War games through Steam. There is no other way to download them.

The gift card cost 5$, very nice deal :)

I've regretted no purchase more than my NBA 2K12 download. Really, the game should be pulled from distribution. The online simply does not work, heck most of the game doesn't work. I feel ripped off so badly by it and I only paid $9.99.

NBA 2K12 just isn't a functional product.

Yup they're steamworks games. You won't even be able to play them unless you activate it on Steam.

It was the same way with 11 on PC too. Me and a friend tried to play online and it was extremely laggy, even with the graphics looking like PS2 graphics. 2k Sports just can't make a competent online game.

Well, yes and no. Without the ability for roster updates (at least I can't figure it out but I'm dumb) then Chris Paul still ain't on the Clippers which makes the Clippers still suck hard and since that's the only team I want to play, well, then the game still ain't great.

A little thing, sure, but come on. It's 2012. Online roster updates are a necessary thing these days for products like this.
 
Regarding TW: Shogun 2. I tried out Empires: Total War, but was so frustrated with the AI of my units in battle that I couldn't keep playing. It felt like they never did what I wanted them to do. Is the AI int Shogun 2 better in this regard?

This is what my roster looks like

Go to options > reset roster and see if that helps. Make sure you're on the latest patch if you don't have it on Steam.
 
I don't know where else to post this, and this technically counts as a DD question, but what happened between Sony and Amazon? I remember hearing they took the digital PSN cards away but I never heard why.

This is especially a problem since it seems like I always have mostly amazon credit when I want to buy a PSN card. Is there any chance of fixing this issue between Sony anytime soon?

The single player is awesome, and it is better to get your roster updates from here.

Thank you both for the responses! I will try them out. Unfortunately I'm not on Steam with this one (Amazon DD sale purchase) so I'll see if I can apply those patches. Appreciated!

We're working on getting the Square/Eidos back catalog but we don't have it yet. This should be fixed in a couple of weeks and we plan on promoting the titles in close proximity to them going up on the site.

I wouldn't call excelent a port that doesn't bother to hide that is based on the 360 version, explaining everything as if you were using an Xbox controller... (Yes, I'm playing with KB/M).

Also, I meet the system requirements but still have a noticiable slowdown in some levels (i.e. Sky Sanctuary).

It's a great game, that's for sure, even with those minor problems I'm still glad I bought it. it's just that I've seen people claiming it's a good port and I feel it's more on the lazy side.
 
As you can tell from Karram's post, the Mass Effect deal is live.

I've never played ME and I want to get ME1+2... There's not a chance in hell Mass Effect 3 comes to Steam, right? I'm just doubting because to be honest I'm more interested in a Dragon Age: Origins deal, but I've been skipping Mass Effect sales too many times, and even if there's a Steam deal and I can transfer the data to ME3 in Origin (is that possible?) it won't be cheaper than this.
 
WHY is there no version of ME2 that includes DLC? I'd like to buy the PC version but there's no way in hell I'll rebuy all the DLC I have for 360.
