Didn't see this mentioned here, sorry if it is old news.

From the CAG Amazon PCDD thread:

Huzzah!

Thanks for posting this :)

Amazon was kind enough to give out free promo codes to everyone who bought ME3 cause some were having having issues installing it. The games they are offering are all ones I either have played or am not interested in so first person to quote this post gets their choice of:

Mirror’s Edge - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0047O2Q02/?tag=neogaf0e-20
Dead Space - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0047O2L70/?tag=neogaf0e-20
Dragon Age: Origins - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00477472O/?tag=neogaf0e-20
Mass Effect - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00477472Y/?tag=neogaf0e-20

Enjoy!

EDIT: Gone. I had actually had two of them so cackhyena and KYGB check your PMs, enjoy!

Look at you, being all selfless!

You make working with communities like this fun :)

Cheers,
Tony

Hey Tony, why aren't the Dead Rising and Lost Planet series sold as digital downloads on Amazon? I see that there are other Capcom games so why not these ones?

This is something we're currently working on. I don't have a solid timeline to execution yet though. Sorry I don't have more info, hopefully we'll get this content up and running soon.

Cheers,
Tony

Sorry I haven't updated the thread, recently got a job so I haven't been able to update as much I used to. With that said just updated OP.

Thanks for posting this :)
You're welcome, happy to help!

Recently on CAG you mentioned an upcoming sale in early April on "301 casual games for $2.99 each". As for me, while being slightly interested in casual games, the real interest would be for my normally non-gamer family members, which brings up the point about possibly getting the ability in the future to gift games through some kind of redeemable code/key that you could send in an email. That kind of solution would be great. The only other I see is to compile a list of potential casual games that they might like, and buying and giving them a gift certificate along with that list. I prefer the more convenient option of simply being able to purchase something I think they would enjoy, but something that they also would most likely never purchase themselves, even with the gift certificate.

Also, not to harp on it too much, the ability to purchase multiple titles at once. :D

This is definitely something we all think would be awesome and is on the roadmap. I just don't have any sort of announcement to make right now regarding timeline.

I know this isn't exactly your department, Tony, but do you have any idea if Amazon is going to be stocking the PC retail box version of Rayman Origins? Amazon.uk has it on their site but it's not showing up on the US side at all.

Since it hasn't been mentioned here yet, from CAG.

I have been on the fence about Space Marine for a couple of months now, but I think I'll definitely bite for this price. Also STALKER. :D

Amazing sale Tony!

Everyone buy Metro 2033
I keep hearing it's quite a frustrating FPS, like enemies needing shitloads of bullets to get killed but not as a matter of difficult but as a design flaw, I'm still curious about it.

There is a "ranger" mode, where both you and enemies take a lot more damage. Basically fixes what you're talking about, and everything else about the game is awesome.

That is a fantastic list of deals. I'll probably bite on Metro 2033 and Darksiders forsure, possibly RFG (played it already though) and Stalker as well.

I assume that because Amazon has the Steam requiring "Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War II Retribution" base game, that DLC packs that state the requirement of the "Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War II Retribution" base game also are Steam activating as well? This goes for Saints Row: The Third base game and DLC, Warhammer 40k: Space Marine base game and DLC, and Homefront base game and DLC.

I just hate buying something without being absolutely certain about it.

I'm noticing a shitload of DLC for Space Marine, is there MP map packs or it's just cosmetic stuff?

I suppose I'll bite then, thanks. :D

The Chaos Unleashed and Dreadnaught Assault (which doesn't seem to be part of the deals, although Amazon sells it) are MP map packs, and the Power Sword is a DLC exclusive melee weapon (not just a reskin). The rest of DLCs are cosmetic stuff.

With that being said, I find the discounts for the DLCs very poor :( For example, Chaos Unleashed would only be 25% off. Damn it, I want it cheaper so I can get more achievements!

I don't have any time for DLC, myself. Outside of a few, very rare instances the base game is always enough however I've been meaning to give Darksiders another go so I'll nab that.

it's totally worth $5. that change sucks, but it's still fun as hell to use their weapons/mechs to blow shit up, underground or not.

Thinking about getting Red Faction Armageddon but I'm still pretty salty over them changing it from the awesome open world Guerilla.

Epic THQ sale, niiiiice.

Game Downloads Deal of the Week. Deals Starting 3/30-4/15:

Hey guys just dropping a line that this actually starts on Sunday, not today. That post on CAG was a typo on my part! Sorry about that.

Cheers,
Tony

Yeah I guess for $5 it doesn't matter too much if it sucks.

Get it, it's good. I felt the same way that it would suck since it's linear now but i took a shot at 5 bucks and it's still fun simply because destroying everything is so cool. No other game engine like GeoMod 2.0. Well worth the fiver.

So I've never used Amazon DD before so hopefully someone can answer a few questions, since I don't see an FAQ in the OP.

Are these deals US only? I'm in Canada if that makes any difference.

Do I need to download another client? I just want to grab Darksiders when it goes on sale it looks like it activates on Steam, so I guess I'd just get the CD key and punch that into Steam without even having to download the game?

Yes, US only. Make an account with a US address or ask someone to buy the game if Steam or Origin registrable. No client unless it is game side so if a game requires Steam all you need is the code. And keep in mind that you can only download the games through the Amazon account if they are not registrable on Origin or Steam.

This is true, I run that thread you're referencing. The Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate + Dragon Age 2 pack (both games together) will be $9.99 :).

Cheers,
Tony

Oh man, I bought the DA pack last time it was on sale for 12$ and i still haven't even played it :(

Yeah i know 2 bucks and all but hey a buck is a buck ;p

WOWOW, I can't even resist that price.

Some part of the upcoming Easter Sale

55% off Crusader Kings II, Defenders of Ardania, and King Arthur II
Also, L.A. Noire base game for $4.99.

From CAG:http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9510864&postcount=724

I haven't got my videocard yet, but I have many great cheap games already, good to be back on PC after so long. I see why people have backlogs.

WOWOWOW, is LA Noire Steamworks or GFWL? For 5, I'm all in on that one. Incredible.

I think they patched it out, not 100 percent sure. Also Tony that DA deal is hot hot hot!! I already have the standard editition if I got Ultimate would that upgrade my copy.

No, you'll just have one copy of DA Origins and one copy of DA Origins Ultimate (with Awakening and all the DLC.)
