Amazon DD Sales Thread

So out of all those Serious Sam games going on sale next week. Which one would you guys recommend?

The Classics and/or HD remasters, and 3. If you're unfamiliar with the series, go for the former and see where your tastes align, picking up 3 later (Steam's mid-year sale is around the corner) -- there's nothing more to the games than "aim at shit and watch it die", but that notwithstanding the series is Doomesque "dumb fun."

Anything except Serious Sam 2. What an awful sequel.

Well, it's passable in co-op... and... and... shit.

Edit: In the interest of full disclosure, I actually forgot SS2 even existed. My previous post still stands, though -- just disregard SS2.

Yeah, watching a few videos gave me a Duke Nukem vibe, shoot shit and watch it die. Thanks, I'll give the HD remasters a go.

Well all those deals are up, but Amazon's showing that they have no 4-packs for BFE. But they have the single order of it. Odd!

EDIT: Someone on CAG saying that 4-pack hasn't gone live yet. Hrms. Apparently Tony or whoever sent off the email for the price change but is still waiting for it to flip.

This is now fixed :) Enjoy!

When is Torchlight II going to be available for preorder on Amazon, cuse I want to gives you my monies? lol

We're working on getting the ability to distribute this game, stay tuned (hopefully).

Cheers,
Tony

Longshot...looking for a Serious Sam HD: the Second encounter 4 Pack..?? i never played a SS game and i guess this is the best bet to start :) and Amazon dont accept my mexican debit card :( so i need help to host the 4 pack :)

Hey Tony, any chance of an Anno series sale coming up?

Kind of perving for a city-builder waiting for the new Sim City and they're a nice break from crazy click-fests like Diablo for a stretch.

Any chance of a Football Manager sale with the Premier League season having ended? I've tried the demos in the past but usually get overwhelmed, wouldn't mind giving it another go through I think getting it a bit cheaper would be nice in case I can't get into it haha.

Any chance of Ubi taking the DRM off Anno 2070 as well? I remember you guys recently did a DRM free experiment with an UBI title as part of it...or maybe I'm not recalling correctly..

Nothing to report here yet :(.

Yes, FM2012 will be on sale for less than $10 during the May event :).

This isn't something that we have on the table yet, but we're working on it.

when is Alan Wake American Nightmare going up?

We are working on this.

Cheers,
Tony

Tony, I've read that starting tomorrow Amazon will have a bunch of the Sims 3 expansions are going on sale. Will these be compatible with Sims 3 games previous bought on Origin? I only ask because Sims expansions games bought on Steam are only compatible with other Steam bought Sims games.

you can register the serial key Amazon gives you with The Sims 3 website and then the game appears in Origin

There are more sales coming , it runs for 12 days, I think. Hoping for a Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad deal.

Getting Mafia 1, I like this game, brought (Mafia 2 when it was $12) and Hitman:Blood Money because of the Giantbomb talk.

oh god.... @ bold

hows Wargame European Escalation?
Looks like a land version of Battlestations: Pacific, which is excellent and you should get. Though if you don't care about Steam version it's $3.75 on GG right now.

Edit: ...uhh... or maybe it doesn't, lol.

yeah lol i noticed the mistake with the pricing instantly =D

Tera 50% off.... Slightly more than exactly what I wanted to pay. Sadly, I'm probably going to hold out on it. If it was 2 days earlier, I would have jumped on it.

? the pricing is accurate, I meant that they are actually quite different types of games

edit: oh, it just went off sale. it had been on sale for a while, but you can still get medal of honor airborne for $2.50.

Hmm, I've been holding back on Tera waiting for a nice deal. I still have my Amazon $10 gift card from the local deals from a couple of weeks ago so I can get it for just $15 if I want. Oh so tempting.

it's cheaper to buy the games below separately than get the"ultimate collection" when is the price going to change for the sale?

Square Enix Ultimate Collection

Total Individual Price: $72.85
Bundle Price: $94.95

If you people are smart (and like smart cRPGs with DRAGONS!) buy whichever of these tickles your moral DRM fancy

Divinity II Dragon Knight Saga DRM Free Version: $5.99
Divinity II Dragon Knight Saga Steam Version: $5.99

DO NOT HESITATE.

So guys, for DayZ to work, is it better to pick up Operation Arrowhead or Combined Operations? Also, the mod works with the Amazon version, right?
