since im from europe i have a question. can i really use a totally random address for my credit card?

People have been using Google HQ or random hotels with success. Just be aware that there is always a risk, because it's not strictly legal. Use your real name though.

It's a grey area because Amazon seemingly doesn't care, there only have been one or two reports of people who had their accounts temporarily suspended after doing it, but there's no 100% confirmation that doing it was actually the cause.

Most people are just pissed that it's yet another storefront for buying things when steam sufficed just fine for years and now their game library will be split up amongst various services. Plus EA has a dodgy track record. Can't say I've ever really had an issue with the sw itself personally.

I'm using Borderlinx. They give you an actual address and even if you buy something physical they'll store it and send it to you, for a fee. But for Digital Downloads its free and I never got a problem.

Just wanted to say thanks to Amazon DD for the sale on BF3 PC. The timing was perfect - hosted a LAN party last night and bought a couple extra copies of BF3 so a couple n00b/rig-less buddies of mine could get in on the action.

After looking around I got my answer. But I don't have Arkham City showing up on my Steam Store. It's probably region locked, anybody tried to get it with region lock? I know most games work out with a key but WB can be different.

The code seems to work even with the region lock.

Yeah, it's because no one trusts EA with their digital content because they have a history of doing things like tying your games and your forum account together, so that if you get banned from the forums, you also lose access to your games. Also, it means no more Steam sales (Origin's aren't nearly as good), and Origin is fuck-ugly.

Yes no question about it. Amazon will even give you a new key if your activations run out.

Ask Steam support to remove it. I'm not sure how that process goes but there's definitely people who have done that.

I don't think that your game will ever disappear from your Steam library, so they might be giving a key for in-game activation but I'm not sure. Maybe we can get some clarification from Tony.

The main problem with BF3 and Origin is the stupid fucking battlelog that could have easily been built into the Origin client, considering they are planning on battlelog being a permanent fixture. Instead the launch battlelog in your BROWSER of all places.

Played just fine for me. Depends how Games for Windows Live affects you probably. I've heard some horror stories about people losing saves because of that, but I think if you're going to finish it in one installation, you'll probably be fine.

I planned to buy Sleeping Dogs with the OCTOFUN1 code and FEAR. So I entered the code with Sleeping Dogs but then didn't complete the purchase because I had something else to do.
Just now I went to actually purchase the game, but picked the FEAR pack first not realizing that the code was already applied to the account as I quickly clicked OK, so I used the 25% with the FEAR pack =(.
I guess Sleeping Dogs will have to wait for a future sale.

Well, as far as performance is concerned, both the DX11 renderer and PhysX are rather poorly optimised. Unless you have the grunt to brute-force both (which, at present, you won't, regardless of your setup), it's typically advised that you choose one over the other. FWIW, I've seen DX9+PhysX mentioned more than a few times.
