Does anyone ever accidentally charge the wrong card or ship to the wrong address, or are there safeguards against that?
You still have different accounts, just associated with the main prime account holder, I think.

You also can't access prime video or music if you are one of the associated accounts, unless that changed recently.

It's probably dumb of me to be considering getting Prime just so I can look out for deals on a TV, when the money I'd be saving would probably be around the same amount as getting Prime, right?

Someone please talk me out of this.

Please.

Hourly deals sounds like it will be a very stressful 24 hours. I'm sure the sale in Canada will be utter crap and I won't be able to import from the U.S. because of our ass dollar.

Yup, that's how they do their Black Friday sales. You gotta refresh throughout the day to find something good. They will show "upcoming" items for the next block, but the more popular items fly off in minutes, so you gotta be ready.

All I want is a sale on the 500gb Xbox 360 or some decent sales on games (Batman Arkham Knight for example). PLEASE AMAZON. <3

Probably not going to happen though...

I'm hoping for a good deal on a 50"-55" TV. My old 47" with two HDMI ports ain't cutting it.

Same here. I've had my Sony Bravia 40 inch since 2008. It's one hell of a trooper, still going strong with extensive use. But I want a 50 inch so I'll be looking. 4k would be nice but I might wait another 4-5 years for that. I don't expect much 4k content until then.

Would this work with a free trial? how can i get a free trial?
Just sign up and then turn off auto-renewal; you don't get charged until your first (free) month ends.

I wonder if it would be best to put things in my cart now and kep an eye on them
Considering that the discounts will probably work like Lightning Deals, this won't work.

Amazon is offering me Prime for $50. I was tempted to jump on this.

But...reasonable adult thinking, I don't need Prime and can't imagine I'd save more than $50 on anything in this sale so I'll probably pass.

That is a good deal. If you switch to ordering most of your goods to on-line it will pay for itself in a few months. There's also the streaming content and "free" eBooks. I paid something like $70 for mine and it paid for itself in a month (granted I bought a couch with Prime shipping, which saved me a good $20 right there).

I reaaaaaally doubt it's going to be as good as the Black Fridays of yore, but I'll admit they got me. I'll be on the Amazon all day July 15th just in case.

Don't have work on the 15th so I'm looking forward to this. There's nothing I particularly want, but I'm sure I'll find stuff to waste spend money on.

Sounds like someone who doesn't get everything delivered to their door in 1-2 days.

You are insane if you don't sign up for $50.

Have you tried getting deals on Amazon during Black Friday? The good shit is gone instantly. I'm guessing that's what Liferebooted is talking about.

That and all the people who will abuse the free trial just for this then cancel with no intention of actually paying for prime.
