So OPTOMA HD141x projector is going to go on sale tomorrow? That's awesome news. For those who are new to projector based gaming, you will not be disappointed with the HD141x, it's an incredible product offering superb native 1080p picture quality with fantastic brightness(you can have your lights turned on and you'd still be able to enjoy gaming and or movies, but playing it under low light conditions is always the best). I've spent exactly 687 hours with the HD141x and I am thoroughly impressed. Driveclub, Batman Arkham Knight, COD:AW, BF4, Shadow of Mordor, Outlast, Order 1886, Interstellar, FIFA15, Bloodborne all looked jaw dropping. Those of you out there who want to upgrade from a monitor to a bigger display(I upgraded from 23" gaming monitor to the HD141x), you won't be disappointed with HD141x. Also, those of you who'd be buying the device, please feel free to message me here, I'd share with you guys the color calibration numbers!

That's not really an abnormal price for that projector. It always hovers around $600. I'm expecting $399 for prime day.. maybe.

I got an old vivtek h1080fd and it was a revelation. I am tempted now because this projector is 3000 lumens vs 1800 which would be nice in my living room situation. I wonder if projectors will get so bright that our screen will be dark grey or black to maintain contrast

nah.....mustangs and elites are still white and show color great on even brighter projectors than these

It's been selling for $599/-(which itself amazon says as a discounted price) since December of 2014, which is when I bought it. Get it and you will not be disappointed. Also, do you have a plain/white colored wall?

HD141x other impressive feature is it's vivid picture quality thanks to 3000 lumens. The price for it could be $400, just speculating
