AMD announces FSR4, available “only on Radeon RX 9070 series”

Beast CPU, but overkill imo. *for gaming

This is why AMD fails. Barely a word about RDNA4 and the guy on stage cannot stop shaking because he's too stressed.

Meanwhile, Jensen is probably chuckling watching this while getting head from two Swedish models.

Imagine Nvidia with tonight's presentation when your competitor on the same day basically bows out of even showing anything until later lol

It's nice to the see the AMD "It's happening!" bubble burst so quickly and not drag out for days or weeks on end.

This is actually awesome.

The only thing stopping me from AMD GPUs has been a lack of ML/AI upscaling.

If this is equal to DLSS, and they can produce a cheaper card - I can switch to an AMD GPU.

RADEON is cooked. Seriously. Feels like they have no confidence in their product, I'd wager fsr4 probably isn't even ready.

I was just about to say the same exact thing. No confidence at all in the GPUs. Look at how they beat their chests about CPUs in contrast.

AMD could have the absolute best hardware ever, and still their marketing department would find a way to screw up the presentation. What a bunch of muppets.

Are they talking about FSR4 on consoles?

They only said that FSR4 was coming to CoD, and that was basically it.
No release date, no info about what GPUs or consoles are supported, what improvements it brings, no comparisons with FSR 3.1, nothing.
They might as well said nothing at all.

Why does AMD suck so much at selling their products? Like show a 1.5kg Strix Halo 13-14" laptop running some game and say you'll be able to get console-like experience in that form factor. Instead they spend 5 minutes just showing a bunch of graphs.

Looks like AMD's endgame is for the AI business to make the GPU side obsolete

That's been everyone's goal with the AI stuff. Using gaming GPUs isn't the most efficient way to crunch those numbers - it was just the best thing they had on hand at the moment AI became a thing. In a few years all the AI stuff will run on dedicated hardware that's very different from gaming GPUs. Then our side of the market can go back to normal.
