After the several dozen comments I've seen interspersed through GAF and members' journals/blogs about how they (as US videogame journalists) are annoyed by the sheer vapidity of European journalists' presence at E3 and ensuing idiotic questioning of esteemed videogame developers/visionaries, I found this at eurogamer:

For what it's worth, the new Backstreet Boys song is pretty good, so I'll forgive any american journalists for their incessant screaming.

I have a british passport, born in England.
Asked my nationality i am British.

So i'm English
There's a big puddle between me and Europe and long may it be.
We haven't had our referendum yet on whether we want the European constitutuion or the Euro.
So no i'm not

Just because you didn't vote yes for the European Constitution or currency yet doesn't make you any less European. You were born in a European Nation.

Sigh. European is not a nationality. There is no European passport. Each country has its own passport.

European usually refers to people who live in the geographical definition of Europe. UK is in there hence Brits are also European.

When referring to European journalists that also includes journalists for British game magazines.

(As an aside, UK is also in the European Union and is represented in the the European Parliament. Just because you don't have the Euro as your currency does not make you non-European)

Yes, and I'm a Dane, having been born in Denmark. A person born in Switzerland is Swiss, a person born in Romania (not even associated with the EU) is Romanian and so on and so on. Being European is NOT a nationality, it's an irrefutable part of being born in the geographical location known as Europe. You, my good friend, belong to this group, no matter how much you don't want to be. We ALL have passports from our separate countries. The EU has NOTHING to do with whether you are European or not.

I have a dutch passport and nationality. And I live on theEuropean continent. Therefor I'm a European. It doesn't work any different in any other country of the EU.

It's like saying you aren't English because you live in London.
