The German one is from ebay and it's been less than a week so I'm assuming it pops up sooner than the UK one.

My GAME UK order just went over the 45 days and no sign of it. Have emailed their customer support and tweeted them twice with no response. God they suck.

Placeholder dates always fall on the last day of quarters. It's weird that they don't have a firm date when the preorders should theoretically be getting filled very soon, though.

Just for the record, I checked in with my Gamestop today and they re-iterated the 2/20 release date for Sonic/MegaMan and 2/13 for the rest of Wave 3B. Those are the expected dates. If they receive shipments before then, they can put them out on the shelves immediately.

I'm just gonna keep checking every 48 hours 'til then so as not to miss my pre-orders...also so I can keep asking about Wave 4 too :D

I have arranged to trade a Gamecube controller adapter for two (2) Captain Falcon Amiibos tomorrow. Another guy contacts me tonight by email and offers one (1) Rosalina & Luma for said adapter.

What's the smart play, here?

Yep, been mentioning that for a while now, that's how I got Bowser a day earlier than the ETA. As I said, they're not street dated, so we can only hope the shipments come in sooner.

2 Captain Falcons are more worth it. Because MSRP-wise, 1 Rosalina is only $13 vs 2 Captain Falcons at $26.

One adapter should be worth all 3, in my opinion. That thing is that valuable.

But if it has to be one, definitely the Falcons.
 
That's what I was thinking, and also I gave the Captain Falcon guy my word and would feel like a chode if I backed out. Craigslist or no.

Besides, a Captain Falcon can turn into a Pit through internet sorcery, and then I will have completed Waves 1 & 2.

Wow I forgot about the adapter, I look at and discuss amiibos way more than I even play Smash nowadays. Lol.

It may be, but I paid about $25 for it after taxes and shipping, and I figure he paid about the same for two Falcons. It seems fair, and we both get something we want in exchange for something that we aren't using.

By that I mean I get a Captain Falcon costume for my MK8 Mii Racer.
 
Just noticed that Target and GameStop have charged my card for some of the pre-orders I made. Now to see which of them has hopefully shipped.

Did people pick up Shulk already? I thought they would email me when he was ready, but on the order page it says they'll contact me via phone. Am I screwed if I didn't pick him up yet?

When BBY recieves this, couldn't an employee scan one at a register to see if a street date pops up?

I'm guessing this gets released sometime in the next two weeks; when or before Kirby comes out.


On a side note, yesterday morning I happened to be up and around a GameStop at 10 am, right when they open. So I decided to pop in and check out the Amiibo scene and look into the New 3DS. The employee greeted me seeing as I walked in soon as he unlocked the door, but the look on his face when I brought up Amiibo was one of almost disgust. Now, this is only the second or third time I've ever been in this GameStop in the past probably 3 years, so he wouldn't know me as a regular or anything. He said he gets asked about them constantly everyday, and the way he said it... Lol.

And their stock was garbage, I didn't bother asking about Shulk.

If you're so worried, just check on their site if stores around you have them in stock.

All stock (preorders and non-preorders) show up there regardless, so you'll know if your area has gotten them.
 
I was just saying its silly how some are so easy to get hold of in different regions. It's a shame as Nintendo should allocate stock a lot better.

Why we have so many toon links, lucario and others in Europe when in USA they are needed. :(

Managed to get everyone but Ness and Pac Man. :/

Talked to a manager at Gamestop about wave 4 preorders. He said with the way Nintendo are giving such shit supply they may just do online preorders with non in store. :/ This is getting ridiculous.

I work at Best Buy in inventory and I am scheduled to work tonight. Whether they come via the truck or just ups I don't know. But I will check it when I go to work later.

The other thing is that there was a notice on the shelf a few weeks ago that said they were only sending enough Meta Knights for preorder but you never know. I will try to snag an extra for trading purposes but I really doubt there will be extras since I ordered Little Mac, Pit, Captain Falcon, and Sheik and they only sent one of each to the store.

Oh hey you're right. Still a bit more expensive converting to USD than buying it here but beats buying from scalpers any day.

would it be smart to buy several of the US rarer figures at whatever price they are going on ebay or amazon right now and keep them 5 months to resell them at even a higher price?

let's say Little Mac is $50 dls right now. What would stop the figure from retaining or even getting up in price? Nintendo announced it's discontinued and it's gone from the planet, no positbility to import.

Rosalina is still in the $30 range. it will reach the 50s guaranteed too.

it's a damn hassle, and you won't see your money for months but it's worth to reflect upon the situation.

or even worse, if you want them and want to open them, then why "wait"? for what? till they get harder to get?

Guaranteed? How do you know that in a month, Nintendo comes and announces they are going to produce and restock all previous waves? You'd be pretty screwed if you bought that many. Not that I'm condoning it, I don't think scalpers should be supported like that.

at this point and with those prices, they can hardly be called scalpers. Sure it's reselling for a profit but we are talking the last couple figures till they get completely gone from the online sites, with your usual "Only 1 left in stock!" at $300 dls in amazon

Pretty much. Nintendo has never announced any amiibos are discontinued yet. Why? Because they can announce another shipment to pair it with any game at will. Just look at Marth. I bet scalpers woke up in horror when they hear Bill say they were releasing more shipments of Marth
