Oh man that looks great! I actually will use this for awhile, thanks.
Just hand in your keys and leave your ID badge on the table.
Wait, you were born in '93? Man, you barely got to experience the decade! Wish you coulda been in it longer!
Psychology dictates that we only start developing cognitive memories at around 5+ years, so I personally feel that to experience the whole decade or most of it, you'd have to have been born in the mid-to-late 80's.
Yo.

Nice! Yeah, it was all similar for me, except my parents didn't actually get me an NES. I was old enough to have and enjoy one, but me and my brother got GameBoys instead, aith Tetris and a Link cable. Fun times!Agreed, being born in the 80s and growing up in the 90s was awesome. Why? Because Nintendo! Oh those were the golden years of having a suitcase full of NES cartridges, blowing on them until they would work, then layer realizing that didn't actually help at all. Playing NES games from 6am until midnight pretty much straight and the parents not really caring (now parents trip out when kids play more than 1 or 2 hours of games). Then playing SNES was like a whole new world. Chrono Trigger. Thats all I need to say about the epicness of SNES. Mario Kart 64 and Smash Bros 64. Freaking epic times man.
I gave my 5 yr old nephew this past Christmas a dreamcast with all the good NES roms on it and he freaking loves it. He always played his stupid iPad games and I knew he'd enjoy real gaming. He always asks me to play video games, then I say no, it's called Nintendo hahaha.
Cool dude! Well, though you may not have lived it like some of us, it's always cool tp see appreciation for the great stuff that came from that time.Yeah I'm 21, I actually have a surprisingly good memory of those times, well anything that was gaming related, I played a lot of SEGA Genesis and Nintendo 64 during that time so gaming wise I loved that decade.

Also, greenwolfe, I've heard that show is good, but I have soooo many damn things to watch and play, I dunno if I'll honestly be able to get to it. But I do understand your love for it, it's probably similar to how much I love Digimon.

GameBoy was also where I first became acauainted and fell in love with the Mega Man series, statting with IV. Fun fact about a practically lifelong MM fan!
But then we got SNES. Oh man, you nailed it. It really was like a whole new world. Mega Man X. Super Metroid. Aladdin? Sure, it was fun too, haha!
Swift?1989 like the queen Swift![]()
Swift?
Very nice selection of games, especially Mega Man X series. I own X and X2, though I'd love to own X3 and 7. Love those old cartridges.I liked Mega Man on NES but yeah X on SNES, I still play it. I play lots of old game on my iPhone via emulator and use the playstation 3 controller via Bluetooth. I recently have been trying to play and beat older games that were very difficult to beat or that I never beat. I beat Zelda 1, Zelda 2, Casino Kid, Mike Tysons Punch Out (still can't beat MT), dragon warrior, blaster master, Friday the 13th (too hard & scary still), Golgo 13, Metroid, Mega Man X, X2, X3, oh man and so many more.
And that brings me to modern day gaming with the awesome Smash Bros Wii U and these crazy addicting Amiibo!!

Not like its going away :/ ill keep reminding you till you get chance lol![]()
I'm 32 and about to turn 33. I feel so old.
One of the best parts of growing up in the 90's for me was experiencing Pokemon at its peak. Man were those good times. I think in a way amiibo kind of give me the same feeling I got back then when I used to collect the cards.Despite the fact that they did nothing and I barely knew how to play the TGC I still got enjoyment out of having my favs all organized in my own custom binder. Nintendo yet again hitting my nostalgia bone and taking my money lol.
Damn, I'm on practically the same boat as you, there, with almost everything you mentioned. In the age of the internet, I feel like that kind of social gaming has been downsized immensely.Maitiú;150694766 said:I was born in 84, and I want to add to your sentiment with how lucky I feel that I was nearly 13 when Mario 64 and the boom of 3D gaming began. You mentioned MK64 and SSB, but Mario 64, Goldeneye, Zelda OoT and Majora's Mask are all right up there or past them. Then to play Metroid Prime and Pikmin as still a young lad, and have SSB:Melee come out right before going into college.. SSB:M made for a lot of fun in the dorms freshman year (as did Halo). Pretty much as I entered into my twenties is when console LAN parties and 4-player split screens were converting into the much more isolating (but also more accessible) online multiplayer. So yeah, Growing up in mid 90s to mid 00's meant a lot of fun gaming parties that I don't hear ever happening anymore.
Did you use to wake up and watch the episodes before school? I would love them.
This has come up a ton lately. I forget exactly what it means, but if I recall, you don't have to worry about it. Don't have the details, but I know that much.My Gamestop status for my in store pick up order of Mega Man and Sonic is "closed". Not entirely sure what that means, but I sure as hell didn't cancel them.
OK great. Thank you for letting me know so I'll no longer worry. This has come up a ton lately. I forget exactly what it means, but if I recall, you don't have to worry about it. Don't have the details, but I know that much.
Edit: Whoops, double post. Sorry.
'93 Gaf represent. Best year is best year.1993 baby.
Yesss! I'd set an alarm and then grab some pop tarts and plop my self in front of the Tv. I loved the anime.Did you use to wake up and watch the episodes before school? I would love them.

Such a great time for gaming, and such a sad time to witness the end of a wonderful era.

Damn fine times. I remember really liking the music and how the battle themes from the game were basically amped up for the show.Yesss! I'd set an alarm and then grab some pop tarts and plop my self in front of the Tv. I loved the anime.
I appreciate Nintendo doing that, but they also need to take a page out of modern tech and networking books, because I feel like they're still behind the times in that department.Maitiú;150695486 said:I cherish Nintendo's focus on bringing people together, in the flesh. I had a chance to play 8 player Smash at a Christmas party, and it was glorious. About once every 6 weeks last year, about 5-6 of us would get together and play 4 player Mario Kart 8 and Nintendo Land, and it has been hilarious.
Do we have a list of what amiibo work with Ace Combat? It's not on the compatibility section on the amiibo website.
From what I've read, it's:
Mario
Luigi
Fox
Link/Toon Link
Peach
Samus
Bowser
Captain Falcon
Donkey Kong
Pac-Man
'93 is cool and all, but '85 is where it's really at. Am I right, people??
'93 Gaf represent. Best year is best year.
Well, it's close enough, so that's just fine!Well '85 is pretty damn cool, but I'm kinda partial to '87![]()
Peeps, I'm going out now, kinda late here. I'll be back later, hopefully this thread will not combust itself while I'm gone. Good night/day to those that stay.
I'm an 84 baby too. Nothing wrong with collecting these things, or anything really. They look nice on my shelf next to my assorted Gencon memorabilia.![]()
We sure made amazing progress today! Got the Community Spreadsheet and added a bunch of you on Steam/3DS! I'll get you guys added on my Wii U soon.
Well, it's close enough, so that's just fine!
Later, dude. Probably gonna call it a night real soon myself, gotta go to work.
Can't just be on the thread all day and night, after all!
I'd been thinking about asking someone to do this for me. Updating avatar!
Gotta fight more people in Smash. Bring your A-game, my Mega Man thirsts for battle. Just lemme be player 2, so the blue color matches Mega Man properly!
Any further word on the possibility of commons co-existing in more than one form? I've been pacing my purchases but I like the smash versions of people like mario far, far more than the mario party ones, and I'll jump on those now if the next iteration threatens to replace them completely.
Well, over by me it's about to be 3am, which is already past my bedtime!Im still here...
Nice, I need to fight more Mega Mans to get used to the mirror match. I'd definitely be down.Hey, I play a pretty good Mega Man too! Mega Man's always been my main...uh, Mega Man.![]()
Any news on foreign Amazons opening up preorders?
Like so many infomercials say:
"Don't delay! Act now!"
