Amiibo Thread 3 | Where release dates are made up and preorders don't matter!

Here is what I'm thinking (I just sent this to Mononoke). I hope I'm explaining well.


So, we have Modbot pick 16 people. Those 16 people get entered in a tournament. Those 16 people pick ANY amiibo that they want as long as it's one that has come out. Then, I use my own amiibos in Smash Bros. (I'd erase them all back to level 1 to make it fair). So, let's say contestant 1 picks Peach and contestant 2 picks Kirby. Peach beats Kirby, so that means whoever picked Kirby is out and whoever picked Peach still has a chance to win! I was thinking the winner would get one amiibo.

BUT, if we have 16 amiibos to give away, maybe all 16 people could win an amiibo... but maybe whoever gets 1st place would get first pick. 2nd place gets 2nd pick...all the way down to the poor person who gets 16th place and gets stuck with a Pikachu or something (but at least they still get something).

That was the description used when you recieved the email code to drop the price from $999.99 each to 10.99 each as a result of their error in cancellations. If the status changes from an estimated date in the past or future, to "Item(s) located in stock" you're in shipping mode. If not, then it's not moving... Mine aren't moving.
 
I'm on the app and it seemingly shows no Rosalinas in the entire state of Maine. Can anyone else share their findings?

EDIT: Shit, it is available at ONE of the three Targets in Maine. Of course it's the one over an hour away, not the one literally in walking distance from my house.

I hate these things sometimes.

During that cancelation crysis, my order was never canceled and I didn't have to anything. The follow up email said my order would be re instated.

Am I still good? It shows a arrival date of 2/10-2/14

Smash is the only line I plan on completing. Beyond that it'll probably just be some here-and-there purchases for characters I like or have worthwhile in-game uses that weren't in Smash.

I don't plan on buying the same character twice.
 
I can confirm that the Target Mobile App --but not the main website-- now shows Rosalina as "in stock" at my Target. And it's a smallll town Target. If my Target is getting it, they all are lol.
 
I don't know if it's updated by timezone, but it seems the 3 (more like 2) targets in my area doesn't have Rosalina.

Edit: it might be time zone based?
 
I considered buying Toon Link from Target, but then I remembered that my philosophy doesn't jive with that. I'm still only going to purchase what I can buy by walking into a store. If I can't find him like that, well screw it. No way I'm paying all that extra for shipping
Lucina is an exception to this. I will do terrible things to acquire her.

Doesn't seem so since Vegas shows all in stock except that one bordering one on that map I posted. Want to give me your zip so I can check if it might be device difference?
 
glad i have no interest in rosalina. Thanks to a gaffer here, i have toon link and shiek on the way. Also have Ike shipping from amazon.


Only need Lucina, Robin and eventually Ganondorf (If he gets announced)
 
For those who got a Rosalina order shipped and had it arrive from Target, how was the packing? I REALLY Dont want to go there in the morning but I'm buying for a sealed collection so shipping makes me nervous.

Do you mind checking 29577? It showed unavailable and now won't even load, so no idea what is going on here.
 
Guys, help me decide if I should drive an hour to one of the only Targets in my state that will carry Rosalina tomorrow or just give up all hope.

Blue Diamond and Valley View have more than 20.
If I had to bet money, I bet Flamingo and Grand Canyon will have.... 20!
 
Saw the Toys R Us confirmation email, so I went to check mine. I'm getting Lucario, Bowser, Shiek, Toon Link and So- wait...

Im doing it... Then driving to work for a few hours then driving back here then goong back home an hour away from here :).

It's trolling me. Shows Myrtle beach is available but Myrtle beach SO is question mark. And when I pick the other it swaps
