WHOOHOO I just got THE EMAIL. Mega Man arrives on Thursday for me!

And with that, I've got three of Smash's Fab Four and also my most wanted amiibo of them all. Last Wave 3 amiibo I'm looking for is Meta Knight and maybe Dedede. Skipping out on Ike, Lucario, Sheik, and Shulk. I MIGHT pick up Sheik if she becomes less rare down the road, but I'm not going out of my way for her.

Why... why would anyone do such a thing? I mean, I'm looking forward to Mighty No. 9 as much as anyone, but Beck is no Mega Man!

My point was: if he got them at sales prices, I don't think the chances he lives in Europe are much higher (the original post was saying that if he was finding them, he wasn't in the US).


That being said: if you think you can find them "fairly easily" across Europe, you're totally mistaken. Some places in Germany, probably, but it's awful here too.

I've scouted ~10 shops at least 20 times since the Amiibo launch, and at least at opening on "launch" days. I've had a lot of troubles to find many of them. I've only seen a *single* Little Mac, a *single* Kirby, 2 WFT, 3 Falcons, 3 villagers, and not a single one Rosalina (I had to import her from Germany), to give you a couple examples.

My preorders have been cancelled, too.

And since half of the shops are not even selling Amiibos anymore, I expect the worse for Shulk, Dedede, Metaknight, Megaman and Sonic...

Yes, that's probably better than many people in Canada/US, but most of Europe is not the paradise some are dreaming about.

From what I heard, the allocations are super tight, so good luck to anyone trying to get extra. Ask nicely if they can call you if there are extras!
 
God, I can't wait to get my Ike, Sheik, Dedede and possibly Shulk this week! Why do I have to wait for next week to get Megaman and Sonic though? D:

Have you seen eBay? People buying all the hard to find figures from NWS and selling them as bundles. Scalpers heaven there when you put up a bundle for $150-200.

I'll let you know if I don't end up trading locally...was more wondering if it were a good idea...I keep hearing Lucario will have a restock...whereas it seems Rosalina will not...so not sure if it's a good idea...

I´m so nervous about getting my hands on Ike and Dedede, I have a preorder in all 4 retailers (except amazon, funny enough) and I´m dying here.
 
I asked this yesterday but I don't think I got a reply. Anyone who has ordered through Amazon France or Germany, how do you do it?

If you use google chrome, it will auto translate the websites. Worked great for me.

I even used it to speak with a french CSR in an online chat. Chrome translated their talk, and iu ses Google translate to turn my English into French and then copy/pasted. What a world.

assuming you're from the US... if you have a US amazon account, you should be able to log in with it.

use google chrome to translate checkout for you. it is fairly easy.

also at checkout, it should give you a conversion of what your total will be in USD.
 
While im not home I seem to be set on Ike, Rosalina, and Sheik.

Meaning the last one I wanted for this wave is Shulk. Still sad the Japanese prices are so high and .de or UK haven't restocked him. He's gonna be a absolute pain to get. Since I doubt my store will hold my oreorder.

I'm really feeling it today! Got Ike and King Dedede from Nintendo World, unfortunately, they sold out of Mega Man.

But, I went to my local game store and they received some amiibo, especially ONE MEGA MAN! I had to pay $24.99 since the owner had to pay extra, but it's less than eBay! Never bought from eBay, and I'm glad :D

EDIT: Plus, my local game store will be holding a Sonic amiibo for me when it arrives, can't wait!
 
Lucario came from Toysrus.com today. Now I just need Meta Knight and Shulk.

Mines did too. Its perfect compared to the two USA versions I have. I'm so relieved since the wait was so long and was scared the box would be damaged. I met a guy at my TRU who got a Rosa from amazon.de and said the packaging looked like someone sat on it. At least the figure was in great shape.

Thanks man that worked! Even though I'm in Australia I have a US amazon account which worked, now to see if it converts to AU in checkout haha
 
Well I wanted to be able to use my Amiibos on my 3DS, but I want to upgrade to the new 3DS LL, but they don't have a color I want (blue).

So I got to order one of Amazon Japan, lo and behold it's $40 cheaper than the US one. What's stopping me?

I would've gotten a white n3DS by now if it weren't for region-locking.
 
My Shulks are supposed to be delivered tomorrow sad they didn't arrive today. I gave up collecting these things but oh man looking at Ebay prices insanity....

His paint looks sloppy and I think he fisted someone just before packaging. These things are awesome but your sweatshops paint results will vary.
 
Got my Rosalina amiibo from Target! Woo! Getting Shulk this from GameStop! Things are looking good. :) Now I just need to make sure I can get Meta Knight from Best Buy (wasn't able to preorder that one).
 
Is there a date for Mega man or just soon? Is there a specific retailer that is better to look for him at? This thread is too fast and the OP is no help in this.

The paint seems fine to me, the main problem is his right eye is a little off center. I've definitely seen worse Ikes but I've still never seen a perfect Ike.
 
Got my Shulk in the mail today from GameStop. Mega Man, Ike, and King Dedede should arrive Thursday. Then whenever Meta Knight comes from Best Buy, I'll finally have wave 3 completed.

I can't believe people are paying $39 for Toad. There's been plenty of opportunities to pre-order him, and that's with multiple sellers having not even opened theirs yet. And we already know the entire SMB series, Toad included, will be regularly restocked. :|
 
Anyone have any cool display ideas? I just have mine on a desk but I think a case would be cool. I was actually thinking about getting some small plastic display cubes so I can stack them
