See, I don't understand why people think Sheik looks bad. The amiibo looks awesome, especially the detail of the "ninja pants" on the back side and legs. Even the hands bandages look great. Am I one of the minority for thinking this? I think it looks great.

Well, I respect your opinion, and I can't refute it currently as I don't have my Sheik in front of me, but I really do think Sheik looks awesome, personally. The one thing I'll say is the hands don't seem like they can be helped, because all the amiibos with hands have that same pudgy look (especially Rosalina...yikes.)

Yeah, true. They seemed to try best matching the artwork with the pudgy fingers all amiibos with hands tend to have. Doesn't help that the wand is bulkier than it should be.

No confirmation from the order I did last night for Sonic. Someone mentioned earlier that they got it from an order yesterday, so I'm sure it's just a matter of time.
I decided to display my boxed amiibo on my bedroom wall. Eventually they'll all be in character select screen formation. Since all my loose amiibos are displayed at my gf's house I can look at these when I'm stuck at home.

Unlike the others in the SMB line that have Smash variants, Toad is the first entirely unique amiibo with no other counterpart, and it unlocks content in an existing game and a future one, so I'd say those are reason enough to warrant potential rarity. Order it now while you can.

I just opened mine since they got the Monado right & I wanted to use Shulk and eventually Sonic & Robin at Amiibo tournaments.
This is why the conspiracy theorists along us are afraid that there may be more retailer exclusives in our future. Why else would only the region with a history of such things be held up if not by a bonus round of business negotiations that are irrelevant to everywhere else?
