I walked into Target a few minutes after 8. There were five people in front of me, but plenty of Rosalinas to go around. So now I have a US one and an import on the way. I also nabbed a Bowser. I couldn't get ahold of Sheik, but I'll his up Best Buy in a little while.

Just had a much more successful outing than I expected. I managed to get Lucario on Friday and only two others were lined up with me prior, but others came right at opening. Wasn't sure what that would mean for Rosalina, but went to one of the two local Targets around 7 and met up with the same guy I met at the Lucario release. Two other new people came by, along with the other Lucario launch person. Seems this area must not be too scalper ridden luckily.
The store had 16 and the guy in electronics said they didn't have any others that he knew of, but he didn't seem too knowledgeable. The other guy and I then went to another local Target that is newer and they still had Rosalina there at like 8:15. I could have gotten another, but decided to save them for others. The employee only had her out then, but we asked and he brought out another whole box that had 4 Toon Link, 4 Bowser, and the very surprising 4 Sheik. Grabbed up a Sheik and Toon Link, both of which were must haves for me. Really glad I held off on the GoHastings order last night for both.

Successful trip to Target this morning. 4 of us went in at 8am and there were none in store yet. (Probably had them packed still. No one there knew what amiibo were.) Luckily the Target 5mi away had a ton of Rosalinas so all 4 drove down there to get them. Also got Toon Link!

Yeah, I had to buy groceries at target, too, and she was in the cart. I did not take my eyes off the cart for one second. Those kinds of scalpers are the worst kinds. The ones willing to actually 'steal' to make a quick 20-30 bucks.
I remember reading on here awhile ago that someone saw a guy trying to talk a little kid into giving him his Amiibo while the parent wasn't looking so really these people have no shame.

Yup, I went to Rutgers so I know it pretty well. I'm down in Monmouth County now. The Amiibo craze is alive and kicking in Jersey. Glad you had a successful outing.

Whats the status for gamestop? did they get their Toon Links, Sheiks etc. on Friday? or was that just in some locations?

I didn't think I'd make it, but I did. I braved the blizzard like an idiot, nearly got stuck in the snow, slipped and slid all over as I trundled down the highway at 20 mph but I made it there and back in one piece. There was a handful of people there for her and my Target had a good supply. Rosalina is mine.

Uhhh mine didn't as far I know, I went to pick up fantasy life off the clock and my boss didn't say anything about my preorders being there. So as far as I know so far just bowser
I pre-ordered all of wave 3 there not counting the 3 non-GS exclusives and have only received Bowser so far. Haven't received any texts as to when the others will come in either.
Had a pretty good experience at my Target. Waited in line with two other guys who were cool. Chatted until the doors open. They didn't have them on the shelves but behind the electronics desk. Also had a limit of two per customer. Got what wanted and was on my way. Mission accomplished.

Went to Target at 9am instead of 8am because I thought how bad could it be? So I checked and their display was the same as it ever was, pathetic and tiny and filled with ones no one wants. So I asked an employee there about the Rosalina amiibo and he said that they sold out around 8:20am. He said they did have a limit 1 per customer rule which was good but they only had 16 in stock. There was a line before the store opened too. He even said that one guy was waiting outside at 5:30am! 5:30am! That's ridiculous!
All they had left was 2 Toon Link so I bought one of them. I even asked if there was a Rosalina amiibo with my name on it (since a different employee said they would do that for me yesterday) and he said no. So that one employee I talked to yesterday was now COMPLETELY full of shit since he was wrong about everything I asked him. I'm glad I finally talked to someone today who knew what they were talking about but it was too late for me. I meant to ask when they're going to restock but I'm betting no one knows. Does anyone here know if/when Target will restock any amiibo?

You might have to go to a more remote Target, but it's possible. Some parts of the country seem to have a lot of inventory. Use the mobile app to see which stores in your area currently have stock.
If you live in a more rural place like Maine, as I do, you might be somewhat screwed.

I just tried to call the Target, they left me on hold for 15 minutes waiting for the manager, and came back on and asked if I'd still like to wait -- I said, nah, I'll call corporate.
I talked to someone at their call center, they said none of these items ever should have been held or reserved and that the employees were probably setting them aside for friends. So, someone's gonna get busted.

Reporting from Indy's south side. The Super Target at Southport received 44 Rosas, a bunch of Bowser, 4-8 each of Toon Link + Sheik. No Ike (Q_Q) or anyone else. Everyone was real civilized and even though the line more or less dissolved upon reaching the electronc section it was very calm. There were about 7 people in line when i got there right before 7am and 15 by the time the store opened.
There was a limit of 2 so everyone in line got Rosas. Several of them didn't even get 2, just wanted I. Heartbreaking to know a lot of people are probably gonna be too late since they continued to get calls the whole time I was there, the lady kept walking back to the display to tell people what she had.
Technically I cheated, got a Rosa and Sheik (I think Sheik is gonna be rare, I got the last one and a lot of people mentioned they would have grabbed one if they had seen em, but was "hidden" in the front where the non-Rosalinas from Wave 3 were) then went back in for one more Rosa since they were limiting it to 2 for all of Wave 3 rather than just 2 Rosa. The lady was totally cool with it though, she understood that i wasn't trying to scalp (this is total trade insurance since there's no way in hell I am doing this on a regular basis). SO glad they limited it to 2, I'm quite sure that deterred scalpers.

Nice I was at the movie theater by Rutgers (New Brunswick campus) last night. My brother went to Monmouth University so I know that area decently as well lol

The Target I went to only had 16 Rosalina 16 Bowser, 4 Sheik, and 4 Toon Link. There were only 4 Rosalinas left when I got to the electronics department. Picked up a Rosalina for me and one for my friend for his kid.
If my friend ends up not needing the other Rosalina, I'll be happy to help out a fellow amiibro.

The Target employee I talked to today said there was no exact date like the ones today and that they'd be randomly showing up over the next couple weeks. Sounds like wave 2 all over again. :/

They ran out of Shiek almost immediately I was told. And Toon Link was out of stock when the line was halfway done. But they had plenty of Rosalinas so I nabbed one and a Bowser. They still had like 10 left before I left. (Luckily, they limited it to 1 per person which is why some were left over.)
Only other noteworthy occurrence was the shitty scalper kid in line front of me. He and his girlfriend were about 19 and were really nice. But right after I mention how I'm not willing to give a scalper my money for Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, or Marth the kid goes on say that he had 10 of each and has eBay auctions at $69 for some of them. It was as if he didn't listen to my previous sentence at all. Man, I wanted to drop kick the little shit in his nuts right there.
