Yay, got my Rosalina. Grabbed Toon Link too since they were like, these are the only two we got. I guess I'm easy to upsell.

Haha, upset when she only got 5 minutes before opening and hadn't already been waiting a long while arleady? Some people.

Glad to hear your store did the ticket system. My TRU always does that for anything that people line up for and it really makes the process so much smoother and less stressful for everyone involved.
 
There were 4 people in line when I got to my Target at around 7:40am and that doubled once the doors opened. There were more than enough Rosalinas and Bowsers for everyone there, but only four Toon Links were on the cart they wheeled out, so I decided on the spot to get one along with Rosalina.

I'll be doing a Modbot giveaway for a Rosalina to show my appreciation to the community for sending me Peach, Fox, & Wii Fit Trainer for free.

I think I might wait just to make sure my order actually ships & to see if others get their order.
 
So after charging a dead car battery, I go out and miss Rosalina in a couple of Targets, only to come home to find her back in stock online... I really need to take a break from these things

Edit: I wonder how John is taking Rosalina's availability
 
I'll make this as short as possible.

Got to Target around 7:00am. Only two other people in line. One guy got there at 6am. Chatted about video games/Nintendo. I mentioned Gaf, but no one knew about it. More people started arriving around 7:30/7:45ish. They had 20, there were around 15 people in line. 1 Amiibo per customer no matter which character it was, but they allowed us to get back in line as many times as we wanted. Everyone calmly walked to the electronics section. No drama. Everyone went home happy.

The only issue I had is that they had like 4 Toon Links and by the time I got in line for the 3rd time, they were out of them. :( Other than that, it was a fabulous experience and I made sure to compliment the Target employees on how well a job they did. One of them mentioned that it went smoother than they thought and the other associate mentioned they were prepared because of Black Friday. lol

Yeah I'll admit that I've enjoyed my hunting around town. It's sitting at home trying to snag preorders that's infuriating.
 
I like how the amiibos turned out. Rosalinas earing doesn't look anything like the art but everything else is perfect. Sheiks hair could have been a little darker IMO. I'm happy with my purchases. Can't wait to get my hands on Lucina and Robin in the coming months!

Yeah, New Britain turned out to be a good spot. I was probably 5th in line and they had no limit. However, everyone only asked for 2 or 3 in front of me, so mostly civil. Sorry to hear about the guy who wanted 8 though. Glad you were able to get one.

Our store handed out tickets and limited Rosalina to one each. everyone left happily with one and it was nice to talk to some good people. No running or anything stupid.
 
Just returned from the Target at the Magnolia Mall in Florence SC. They had a total of 2 Toon Links (of which I purchased one) and no Sheiks or Rosalinas. Talked to the guy who works in electronics and he said the store received a total of 10 Rosalinas, 8 of which were purchased by one family who had been camping out all morning before the store opened. The Best Buy next door also had no Rosalinas or Sheiks, but they had like 10 each of Toon Links and Bowsers. So I got a Bowser. Now I'm waiting for the GameStop to open to check them out.

Let's clam down a little. This is just day one. Speculation on rarity on Rosalina might be premature. If they get a second shipment then yeah uncommon status sure. But if this is the only shipment the S Tier.

Yeah Shulk is the last one I need from this wave. I have a preorder at GameStop but I doubt I'll see him by the time I get back. Hoping either Amazon.it or de get him back in stock. Or that Japanese prices go down a bit. Not paying 30. 20ish is as high as I'll go.
 
Went to target like half an hour before they opened and there was already a line! I got a rosalina for my buddy for his birthday and my gf bought one for me. It was a good time though: Some guy in a decepticon hat who got there first was insistent that everyone get organized into a line, which was sweet.


Then a girl opens up the door and let's everyone know that rosalina will be at customer service and we're to go there single file, so we head over there and they've got a bunch of cashiers handing one out to each person. Super awesome experience, so much so that I think I'll head back over there for other preorders I missed!


It was especially cool since a family came, a pair of parents and their 12ish year old, and they tried to cut the line and they each went to separate cashiers with $100 bills trying to get more than one. it was nuts.
 
Woke up at 8:45, realized Target opened at 8 and not 10, panicked a bit, found out Target's website still had Rosalina in stock, got happy, bought it, and now I'm going back to bed. Success. :D
 
Meta Knight is the only one left that I don't have ordered. I'm scared about my odds since Best Buy hasn't been very good at handling amiibos. I should just bite the bullet and import.
 
So I guess the people at Nintendo in charge of production aren't inline with the people in charge of distribution? You would think that the retailer exclusives would be equally rare.

I'm really lucky, being on a business trip in Chicago in the middle of a blizzard for her release date. I love snow and cold weather but most people can't stand it, so I was the only one who bothered to be at the Target closest to my hotel at opening. No lines or anything. If I was at home in Los Angeles, there's no way I would have snagged her... or even Bowser, probably.

They didn't have any Toon Links, sadly. I'll have to hunt for him when I get home, probably to no avail. :P

And they are also available online now as well, I suspect another shipment of her may be hitting Target this week sometime. It would be funny if there were mass returns of her this afternoon, lol.
