Even if Best Buy doesn't get Meta Knight out today, are they expected to put Bowser/Toon Link/Shiek out today? I wouldn't mind grabbing a Shiek and Toon Link for my younger bro who is out of town.
 
Why are people lining up at Best Buy? Are they releasing Wave 3 there today or something?

I would hope they aren't expecting Meta Knight

You might need to ask your store. Mine said it was an one time thing & it sounded like they weren't getting more.
 
An incredibly reliable source at best buy informed me during the Rosalina hint that Meta Knight has no actual release date, lining up today for him is a waste of time

But today was the original release date, right? Was there an official delay or just reports of Best Buy employees stating they did not see him in the system yet?

The original release date for all amiibo's was 2/1 but the dates have changed for a few of them, there is likely some overlap with people trying to get the other non-exclusive ones that they either sold out of at Target or didn't get too. A friend of mine has a Meta Knight reserved and they don't know when its arriving, he and I both are thinking it'll be around 2/20 when the new Kirby game comes out but I seriously doubt they will have him today.

Yeah I know about the release date split on this wave, was curious about Meta Knight specifically.

Seems everything is speculation and no facts. I could be missing out but I'm not going to Best Buy this morning.
 
Oh well, looks like I'm regulating myself to the ones I want instead of all of them. It's a bummer, I really wanted the entire smash roster and have them lined up in order of the character select screen ><
 
Might be old info, but...

Talked to an incredibly helpful Target employee a minute ago, who had a Rosalina update for me. Said she wasn't able to tell if they'd be getting restocked, but her computer wasn't showing it as delisted yet. She mentioned a possibility of getting more Mon, Wed, or Fri, so to keep checking back.

She mentioned there were a few people in the morning that wanted to buy all they had (9 at this location), but she shut them down. Thankfully Target hasn't been the shitshow that TRU has been.

Not too terribly upset about Rosa, but if I can't get my hands on Ike or D3, I may have to resort to scalper prices.

I find that hard to believe, especially being that Rosalina is Target exclusive. Maybe he meant the exclusivity was a one time thing and all these retail exclusives will be available everywhere later.

Well, when you have a company like NOA sitting on top of this supply chain, you can expect plenty of misinformation to spread.

Not a lot of folks out there are on top of their game like many in here.

About 6 people were at the Target Brickyard. It was the first time I met a semi-good scapler. He didn't rush to the electronics section and only bought about 6 Rosalinas. They had 3 boxes of Rosalinas left after I bought mine. As for the snow, it wasn't that bad. They were plowing the snow as I was waiting in the parking lot.

Weird, mine said "one-time deal" which made it sound like hey weren't getting more. I guess I could check back tomorrow before I go to class.
 
First in line, one kid broke off into a sprint and everyone yelled at him lol. Got the 3 I wanted (Rosalina, Toon Link and Sheik)

They're the sold provider of it, I doubt an of these will have a single shipment and no restock.
 
CureVylash and me both secured ours! Man people here were cutting. Only one Shiek at this location and a kid that cut it got it. I didn't want it but a woman behind me that waited wanted it
 
I haven't been able to get warm after standing in the subzero cold outside of Target. Not to mention I feel like I have a hangover when all I've drank today was water.

Rosie and toon link get. Sheik was supposed to be available, but cashier told me someone screwed up and put her out the other day when they weren't supposed too.
 
Wish Meijer had an inventory checker. I can't even search for their products online.

It's starting to sound like Sheik might be considered more rare than Rosalina. Would that be a suitable replacement for the giveaway I want to do?
 
Hey guys. I have read most pages this morning but may have missed this. Has anyone got their in store pickups from best buy today? Bowser Shiek and Toon link is ready for pickup according to email. Want to know if their have been any gets

I don't even bother anymore, I just do super quick skim. It's pretty well impossible to stay up to date with how fast this thread moves.

Actually I should edit my post. After a couple people left they found a box of three Toon Link's and six Bowser's.

So I ended up with the last Toon Link.
 
Roads are awful here! Worse than I thought they'd be, but I got Rosalina! First Target I went to sold out as I was on my way (they wouldn't hold any). I called a second location and they were nice enough to hold me one since I was already on my way. I got the second to last one and I guy right after me got the last. I thought he was going to die.

There are more Amiibros (or scalpers) in Omaha than I thought! I hope there is no Meta Knight today because I'm not going back out there.
 
Asking again: got a second Rosalina, want to trade for a Little Mac. He's the last one I need, so if anyone could help out that would be awesome. Both of mine look fine and are boxed, and I don't need a box for the Mac.
