Amiibo Thread 3 | Where release dates are made up and preorders don't matter!

So does the Fox amiibo have a blue "support stand" or is it clear? I've seen pictures of him with the blue one but the Best Buy image has a clear/silver one?

Are there 2 models?
 
I've been trying to collect all NA ones new in box and for a number of reasons, have decided to open them and enjoy them. The main reasons, less room to display more flexibility to get them from other regions...

That said, does anyone know if Villager is available to import at the moment cheaper from anywhere than what he's going for on ebay? I was waffling over my decision yesterday and missed him for 40 shipped, looks like 52 shipped to US is the cheapest on there at the moment.

yea, I saw so many Foxes everywhere when he came out.
 
So got back from Toronto yesterday and just got back to good old Ames, Iowa decided to check out the Target. They had Mega Man marked up so I asked if they even got any in. Apparently they did not and he went on to tell me that Wave 3 is going to be extremely limited and Rosalina isn't coming back at all since he talked to a Nintendo sales rep. The only ones he said they'd get back is Bowser and maybe Toon Link. I know most of you knew this but its nice to get some confirmation at my local place. Also nicest Target employees I've ever met.

Good to see the spreadsheet is widely available now. Smash players, jump on that and fight my Mega Man sometime!

Saludos Amiibos, the guy who's doing my 7 custom colored Mega Man commission, actually offers stand replacements for clear ones, though he warns that they're obviously more fragile. It's on his page:

How'd you guys not get Fox when he was readily available for 2 months? Not being a jerk. Serious question. Did you just decide to start collecting late?

In-store pre-orders started today. They showed up on the website late yesterday, so Toad is already gone (and Mario isn't available outside of the Mario Party bundle). You should still be able to get a Toad if you pre-order in-store.

I remember some people said they weren't gonna buy them until later.

That's EXACTLY what I'm doin' today, yup. I trust the store more than online ordering. Plus, no shipping fee/waiting for shipping. Love it.

I got my only Amiibo (Fox) way back when people were saying they weren't gonna be a big thing and that most would be easy to find. Oh what a difference 3 months makes xD

A lot of late collectors and also he was readily available for a while, so people expected him to be common.

Not me, I won´t stop teliing people he was going to sold-out soon.

No, I didn't receive any email when it was sent. And I expected when it said "arrival Jan 29th", that it was accounting for average known time to clear customs...

Ouch, man. Hope it was Little Mac, 'cause that hurts almost as much as when I got my imported Marth from Italy with its own shipping for around $40...right before they announced the reprint for Codename Steam. Great.

Orders of $49 or more have free shipping. Also looks like they are partnered with ShopRunner if you have an account or can sign up for a free trial account. I used them for a year or so for free 2-day NewEgg shipping, and it was great.
 
My Bowser and Toon Link are shipping from Amazon. However, the Sheik I ordered at the same time got put into a 'Delayed' status that I had to approve. Not holding out hope at this point.

The rest of Wave 3 I have pre-ordered at Gamestop (minus exclusives of course), and those haven't moved at all.
