I used to keep all my boxes but then I lost use of my parents Attic to keep them all stored in. My wife and I have too much crap to keep the boxes so I had to start chucking them. It still pains me a little. It also feels incredably wierd trading a system in or storing it without a box

I honestly don't see any of the drama in this thread outside of him - no one stirs up fights, controversy or these meltdowns of leaving besides him.

As a figure collector, in the event you move or want to sell/give something away, the box helps a lot.
I still throw them away though.

Constant unnecessary drama around one person. I've never seen anyone else start anything dramatic.

I'm sorry. I know I've been vocal before, but wow. Sixth time's a charm? Either post or don't. People are going to jump on me for posting this, but whatever. Yep, was just about to update my post. I also got an email for Ike as well.

So today I've gotten release date updates from Best Buy as follows:

Mega Man: 2/20
Sonic: 2/13
King Dedede: 2/20
Ike: 2/20

From my perspective (heck, maybe the thread is moving too fast, but I REALLY try and keep up-to-date) Azula creates the drama himself by interpreting remarks that arent't really focused at him as direct attacks, and then posting huge posts "apologizing" and claiming to leave, only to sit on the side lines and stir it up all over again...

See I love displaying N64 boxes that I opened as a kid on my shelf and even though these things don't feel like something I would display right now, I never know if I would want them in the distant future.

If you have any spare money i would invest in a case , i plan on getting the Ikea Detolf and it truly does look wonderful.I would feel proud to display amiibos in it if i were you.
 
Is anyone planning on lining up to a Target or Best Buy on any specific dates? The last time I checked with Target on Feb 1st release day, was that they were getting another batch on the 13th or 20th.

Has anyone heard of any other for Mega Man, specically?

I do and display them at my anime store, I love it because people look at them expecting the figures to be in sale only to see the empty boxes, MUAJAJAJAJAAJA.

This is my problem at the moment, so they're still sealed. Though I'm somewhat tempted to wait until the entire Smash roster is out just so I can take one picture of all of them in their sealed glory before tearing the boxes to shreds.

I think people sometimes get way too invested into petty stuff.
I had it happen, but I got over it because it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things.
Although I still curse NoA for not releasing the regular 3DS until they do.

If that Target memo is to be believed, they will not be getting Mega Man in stores.
 
The drama really stems from people's responses, not from Azula. You're acting like these nice people are a scourge on our precious amiibo discussion. I've tried to let you guys work it out, but that hasn't been working.

Shouting "STOP POSTING" and "GO AWAY" is stupid and wrong. If anyone's posts here annoy you, add them to your Ignore List and move on. Take a break from the thread for a page if you have to--it moves fast and any drama will be buried quickly. For the rest of us, we don't mind talking as a community. It ends up being the same 3-5 people here that keep harrassing Azula for his posts. You need to accept that this thread will not be 100% about new amiibo. We're a community, so we talk about all things related to amiibo. Collecting is part of the process, and Azula and his lovely lady have the same right to post as you do.

In actual news, my Dedede just updates as well! C'mon Meta Knight!

We are one community, doesn't matter if teenager or adult, female or male, casual or hardcore. I don't know what all the fuss is about. Maybe because I don't even know that Azula person.

Lucina is just an amiibo-collector like the rest of us. Nothing more, nothing less. She is not a celebrity or anything special (no offence) and she doesn't see herself like one. So, please stop this madness immediately.

Back to topic: Nothing to tell, lol. Just waiting for my wave 4 (second half of your wave 3) which launches 20. Feb.

I got super paranoid after "The Great TRU Cancellation" (this is going to be a thing).

So my main is Gamestop with Walmart as backup. Then lo and behold, TRU fixed their issues so what the hell ordered another set through them as my tertiary.




...I still don't feel safe. Still have yet to receive any besides Lucario.

...what is your problem? If she wants to post stuff, let her. I don´t care about their post enough to comment, but its nice to see people talking about themselves and their relationship with amiibos. Its easy to ignore if its not your thing, but there is no need to be rude or call out people as hypocrites.

I could see it happening for Greninja or Jigglypuff but not Charizard. One Pokemon exclusive isn't exactly a pattern yet. Nintendo might not have a lot of faith in the majority of these characters to sell, but I'm guessing they know Charizard is popular enough to be a common a la Pikachu.

Hopefully Azula does return at some point.

Anyways, I just got a call from GS telling me I could pre order the mario party amiibos, seeing as how I had a few amiibos preordered from them already.

Oh I know I was a part of that cancellation also... But with that coupon code couldn't resist a whole set so I ordered through gamestop cause I knew they wouldn't fail me... but now idk...

Honestly I don't know who Azula is either so I feel no anger or if there is drama I know nothing of it, and I wouldn't consider what happened here to be "drama". I grew up with 3 younger sisters you guys don't know what hardcore drama is!

Wave 4 Amiibos are gonna sell out in the first 5 minutes, you just watch. Charizard will be everywhere though.

Thanks so much for posting this! I've wanted to say something like this for weeks after having to constantly wade through Azula's posts to get to the point of this thread, I was just afraid the Azula defense force would be out in full force. You've worded it much nicer than I would've too.

Hopefully we can get back on track in this thread!

PS: Going to TRU at opening in Canada in the morning to hopefully get Lucario!

If you say "I don't want to draw attention to myself" then make a speech in front of a crowded room when you don't have to, sorry, that's hypocrisy. If someone wants to fade away, they don't make a racket on the way out.

It is hypocrisy. But this is all I will ever post on this topic as I am in the minority and it's not worth it.
 
Having an update on King Dedede, if my Meta Knight pre-order goes through I'll actually have the full Kirby set.
