Amiibo Thread 3 | Where release dates are made up and preorders don't matter!

I wonder how is the pressure with employees of all retails that sell amiibo with customers getting mad at them :(
Whenever I talk to employees at retail I'm extremely nice and respectful even if they can't help much. And when they do help I make it a priority to thank them and compliment them.

If your in IL the TRU in bloomingdale just got some Toon Links and Bowsers.

I still have my other Toon Link from Gamestop pre-ordered but I'm thinking about cancelling it unless someone here wants to trade for it. Also looking to trade Shulk for an Ike.

Stopped by GS where my friend works to just chat him up and see what's new and I spotted this Zelda that looks kind of off.

It's not just me that think she looks weird, right? Looks like they painted her eyes too low, lol.

Got me package for 2 Lucario's today. Was glad to see it was in a box the size that 10+ Amiibo's would fit in. Unfortunately, instead of laying them down on their back they stood them up and shoved the lid down on them crushing them....

Holy crap I lol'd pretty hard just now. That is amazing.

I'll seriously trade/buy at msrp+shipping if it's still there and you can be bothered.

What else should people discuss? How the yellow on Sheik is off by 5%?

NoA sucking one of the main reasons why this thread has 50k posts.

I am curious if we had decent stock for all the waves, I bet we would still be at OT 1.
Most people posting when we can actually get stock.

Well yeah then you should be mad at them for listing it wrong, we've known for awhile that it comes out Feb. They still screwed up in that aspect though.

Yeah, but they also emailed everybody and told them they weren't going to be shipping until Feb. If you bought Lucario from TRU on eBay, you knew what you were doing.

Actually heading to work now but I can make a quick stop on the way back and snag it for you if it's not already gone by then. Didn't think anyone would want that, lol.

There really needs to be a Nintendo World in Los Angeles. It would fit perfectly in a place like Citywalk or the Grove.
I would't mind too much if Nintendo World US had an online store like Nintendo World UK.
I would like Shulk without jumping hoops.
Oh yeah I will have an extra Sheik and Rosalina, so I am willing to trade for Falcon/Mega Man. Got an import Shulk coming.

That's very nice of you :) Yeah there's some employees that don't havy any idea of what amiibo is, even if it's selling like pancakes.

Amiibo are a luxury now. They are awesome and cheap... if you can buy them for retail. If you have them all, you are a God among your like-minded peers. The hunt for them make them valuable, the rarity make them valuable, and the announcement of more and more functions for them just keep adding in that value.

And the fact that the rares don´t lose that value means people are going to keep trying to get them. They buy it at $14 because they think they can sell it at $20 They import it at $20 because they think they can just sell it at $30.

We can blame Nintendo all we want, but this whole clusterfuck is making people talk about Nintendo again. Normal, casual, regular people who have not even bought a Wii U yet but do remember their nostalgia for the characters. There is no such thing as bad publicity.

Why the hell is Nintendo World getting a million restocks and every other retailer is dry?

Because its their own store and they make them?

That's not a fact at all. For all we know in six months, you'll be able to find all amiibos anywhere.

You answered the how and not the why. There is such a thing as corporate and business relationships. These shipments of exclusives could be going to stores that need them.

The New York store is such a small part of the equation.

still no US wave 4...this anticipation, I really don't want to miss out

We just had the Super Mario Wav... Amiibos go out for preorders, we still got plenty of time before preorders will go out for the Charizard wave.
