Yeah that's definitely a custom. Looks like someone mixed and matched some Nendo pieces and then sculpty'd the accessories. Paint aps are clean, but you can tell it's not a factory application. Looks good though.
I've been collecting Amiibo since the beginning, but this was my first time opening a few. It was a surreal experience after looking at them in boxes all this time.
I put them on top of my TV. I live in earthquake country so I'm wondering if maybe that will end up being a bad idea. Ignore the messy closet in the background.

Hahaha that was EB Gamea Canada because I live in Ontario.
I missed their Shulk preorders so I went with GameStop USA. The shipping was more than the Amiibo :/
I'm working on a trade for Shulk right now. Hopefully it works out. Seems good so far!

From the way Wave 3 has been handled, no pre-orders in the US seem to be safe, so I'm probably gonna hold on to it until I get me hands on actual US editions.
Set up NowInStock notifications. You'll get them faster than if you were checking this thread (for US stuff anyway).
Isn't the release date sometime in the spring? I would expect them to go up sometime in March if that's the case.

I'm honestly worried that Wave 4 will be the first ones I'll have to accept getting non-NA packaging for. Hopefully not.
That seems pretty smart, actually.
No reason I shouldn't do the same! I'm happy I have them just in case there are more retail exclusive shenanigans as well.

goHastings had Toon Link and Sheik amiibos for pre-order a long time ago. Just checked my order status and my Toon Link order was canceled without telling me. I'm pretty sure Sheik will get canceled as well.

It's April 24th in Europe and they've alwyas received the waves 2-3 weeks in advance. Usually Friday or Sunday release dates in NA.
My guesstimated guess for the NA release for Wave 4 is:
Friday May 8th
or
Friday May 15th
I assume the reason for the wait is the retailers wanting to focus on the Super Mario series next and we will see Wave 4 preorders after those are released. So preorders for Wave 4 will open the last week of March or early April.
Just got hit with this too, bye bye Toon Link.

No they do. It's $15 USD for international shipping to Canada.
Why would it take so long to appear in most shops in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, etc., then? The probability it's because of negociations for exclusivities is low...
We're nearly two months and half before wave 4 official release date, and based on what I understand from serial numbers on figures, they will not begin producing them before a couple of weeks. There's also something like a dozen unreleased figures in most places...
At this time, I'm not sure retailers can even place orders, and I wouldn't be surprised that Nintendo hasn't even decided which quantities they will produce for each, let alone began allocating them. I'd say most retailers are simply waiting to know how many Amiibos they'll be able to order before opening preorders. Cancellations are bad press.
That being said, I'll be cut from the internet for a week starting circa next friday, I fear they choose this period to open preorders.
Wait amazon uk already had pre-orders for Ness, Lucina, Robin and Pacman?? (Only Wario and Charizard are available!)

Yeah, hopefully. I did my Wave 3 pre-orders the week of December 15 and the week after, and at that point they were all scheduled to release on Feb 1. So...about a month and a half before the release date, they were up for pre-order (I didn't do it as soon as I possibly could though).
So if the same windows are repeated, and if Wave 4 is supposed to come out at the end of April, we should still be able to pre-order them in the middle of March.

We're just getting preorders at some places for the ones coming out in March with a guaranteed release date tied to a game just coming out.
Be patient a little on Wave 4. I know that runs counter to everything we've seen so far concerning amiibo but I doubt places want to mess around with one wave releasing in parts, preorders for the SMB line, and then preorders for another wave on top of that.

Wave 1 was 1 week after the US
Wave 2 was also 1 week after the US although we got all 6 "in time" when some were delated to late december in NA
Wave 3a was ~2 weeks before the US
Wave 3b is mostly in line with the US, or a bit later (Megaman, Sonic, Dedede, Metaknight and Shulk should arrive on 20th)
I don't think there a lot of logic behind all this.

Looks like Xenoblade Chronicles for New 3DS is releasing on April 10th in the US - I never expected it would come out so soon! :O
