I'm looking forward to this thread for the U.S. folks to have their meltdown. For the rest of Wave 3 releasing next week.
I've got everyone in hand or on the way now except for Meta Knight. I have a Shulk trade done so I've secured him now. 10/11 good to go!
Future Shop said we should be seeing shipping notifications for Meta Knight early next week.
Next week I will be able to focus on my Majoras Mask New 3DS XL and the Majora's Mask LE. More rare Nintendo stuff!

I haven't had trouble getting any amiibo that I wanted yet. But wave 4 is going to be ridiculous unless Nintendo does something about these supply constraints. Has anyone from Nintendo commented on the situation yet?

Oh good. I didn't preorder one because I figured Sheik would be more common thanks to being a LoZ character (and I got Toon Link because I expected him to be more rare compared to Link). I figured of the line, Bowser and Sheik would be the most common but was starting to get a little scared. She's basically the only one from wave 3 that I really wanted that I don't already have locked down.
They don't care. Their response is "You want amiibo? How bout some cards?"
I remember some of your posts, hundreds of pages ago... I'm glad you were able to lock down everything. This man is the epitome of perseverance, people!
Yeah me neither. Maybe once it's readily available online somewhere. It's still a rare sight for most people.

Amiibo launch time is so stressful. I've gone late into work 3 times in the past week to be at store openings and such to get my preorders or lines for Lucario and such.
I always told work it was due to "car issues". Yeahhhh

Well, I'm never shopping from goHastings again.
Just received confirmation that my Toon Link AND Sheik amiibo orders are cancelled.
On the bright side, I got my Rosalina amiibo from the Post Office and she's in great condition!

To anyone that is going for the 2 for $20 deal at TRU today; the one in my area didn't have any signs up for it and the person at the register didn't know about it, but it still worked. You have to have their rewards card thing though, or in my case, have the guy at the register just use his, and the deal with automatically apply it seems. It even works for multiples on the same check out so you can get 4 for $40 and so on as well.
Also another unrelated thing for TRU, I think I saw someone mentioning here how they sell amiibo for $1 more then other stores. They price match so can get them for the lower price as well normally. Good for areas where only the TRU keeps a steady stock of figures.

Nintendo just shot themselves in the foot.
I don't know how much the rest of you know about amiibo (I'm an expert), but scalping and importing are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in Europe where you can walk into a store and find walls of rare figures. If you try to find anyone rare in America, you'll be dealing with scalpers, and the only way to get what you want is eBay.
What this means is the American public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase any future amiibo, nor will they purchase any of Nintendo's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Nintendo has alienated an entire market with this move.
Nintendo, publicly apologize and reprint every rare amiibo or you can kiss your business goodbye.

You're jealous? Try being angry that you went out on release day and saw Target, and TRU PACKED with Little Macs, and passing them up because you thought Diddy Kong and Zelda would hold higher rarity.
I haven't seen one on a rack yet at numerous stores and I don't think it is readily available online.

I'm skeptical, but maybe. People reporting cancelled pre-orders is a bad sign.
Did anyone else order Wave 3 from Tiger Direct? Might be the most incompetent place I've ever done business with. I called them and asked about the progress of the order, the teenager who answered the phone just said "oh, we're not getting those anymore man. Want me to cancel it?" I said yes... Walked to the mailbox and half the order was there. What dumbasses. Called them back and un-cancelled the order.

Also, I did Gamestop ship-to-store for most of my wave 3 pre-orders (Ike, Sonic, Dedede, Mega Man) and the orders all say "closed" now. What does that mean, exactly?
It just means that the pre-order is now attached to the store you're picking it up at.

It was the second round of preorders they did. So it was up then unavailable and then when he went back up again I preordered...and failed.
