Btw I don't know about anywhere else, but Walmart has consistently had the saddest display of amiibo here in Alabama. I don't think I've seen anything outside of peach and donkey kong condensed to one small corner of the game aisle since they were released.

what i find most frustrating about amiibos is that the ultra common ones like peach, mario and luigi are getting another wave in a different series. like we don't have enough of them already. -_-

All the places here are just like that.
They all have the same consistently small Amiibo displays with that screen you are supposed to press to learn the art of Amiibos.

Nintendo really are just using smart business tactics that suck for the consumer. I can see them eventually discontinuing the Smash versions and only selling the Mario line. That detail in the fireball ain't cheap!

Yes it does.
A costume does not have a gender. A Spider-man costume is not male. A woman dressed as Spider-man is still a woman.
Zelda disguised as Sheik is still female. Sheik is not a real person, it is a wardrobe change, Sheik is a she.

Oddly enough there is one Walmart out in Athens that I pass by that has a HUGE section, but the ones here in Huntsville and Madison have like five or six hooks and that's it.
Edit: Btw my gf would probably be down for some matches too if we need more people for a full match.
I still hate myself for not anticipating how much Marth would be worth. The Athens Walmart had like three well into December -_-

you know it would be neat if the mewtwo amiibo(if they ever do make one) can also unlock the character to be used ingame.

yea. i guess since amiibos have such a small amount of memory they could do it 2 ways:
1- include a code to dl mewtwo for both the 3ds and wii u or the stupider way(the way that nintendo will do it cause... nintendo is pretty fucking stupid most of the times)
2- require you to scan in the mewtwo amiibo every time you boot up the game if you want to use it.
Zelda is a magic user. She uses magic to transform into a male identity, Sheik. It's an ability in Smash Bros Melee/Brawl, meaning it's likely a spell.
At Targets? Not anymore unfortunately...
But yeah that's the only place you could get her. Unless, you import.

Although I can't seem to find the Brawl/Melee reference in the same topic the spell is considered to change her abilities not her gender.

No, she's just in disguise, she doesn't literally change her body and become a male. Nintendo has officially clarified this (honestly not that they needed to, it was obvious). Sheik is not a male, it is a disguise.

The sheik debate is pretty nostalgic. I remember as a kid it being talked about along with Samus being a robot.

I never thought so either however I thought when she's disguised as shiek she does so under the guise of being a male.
The game characters also recognize Shiek as a male - so the viewer is to assume shiek is a male.
No shit it's Zelda in a disguise. However, Zeldas sole purpose is to portray herself as a man to not be recognized as Gannondorf. Just like people who do drag I suppose we know their men in dresses but for that time period their associating themselves as a female.
It's not complicated it's just people's opinions I don't know why their has to be a definitive no this is it!
