Bah, called mine & despite not showing up on the inventory checker, they did say they got Shulk for those who pre-ordered (which is weird because mine mentioned there was 5 pre-orders for Bowser but didn't mention pre-orders for Shulk). The shipment of new stock arrived about 30 minutes ago.

Guess it's back to hoping I can buy him online like with Rosalina....

What tool are you folks using to check GameStop stock of Shulk? The website doesn't have the usual find in store link for him.

& checking again, he now shows "in-stock" for my store, but it's most likely that most of the "in-stock" locations have just the pre-orders. So I guess if it still says that after the end of the day, maybe they'll put any that weren't picked up on the shelf or something.

The Shulk situation isn't looking too good. My store is only getting enough for preorders (4). They haven't sent anymore yet so we will see what happens. The first price drops I've seen on amiibos happened this morning at GS. Peach and DK dropped to $9.99 each.

Decided it'd be better to just check after calling my gamestop twice only for it to ring and ring and ring until an ear piercing beep caused me to hang up.

They got a grand total of THREE Shulk in. One for each of the people who preordered, including myself.

A friend of mine preordered ship to store and got it straight up cancelled. If anyone happens across some extras at their store they can buy, please let me know. I know he'd really like to get him.

They are supposed to be. Keep in mind these aren't street dated. So employees who have no idea they are reserved might not even check before selling. I'd keep calling today and tomorrow to make sure they don't come in early.

I misread your other post, but yeah stock shows in the system even if it is set aside for pre-orders.

You mean Nintendo shows no stock. It's not GS fault they are only getting a small amount per store, it's Nintendo's.

Dang, according to Reddit, a Meijer in Allen Park, MI (2 hours away) had some Sonic amiibo. Mine only had more Link when I checked a few hours ago.

Finally gave up with amiibo this week. Sold all of them to friends who were collecting. Each wave that has been released since the start I have had pre-orders cancelled for and I pre-ordered at a number of retails very early on.

I can't be bothered to collect them if this situation with stock is going to spiral on and on - it's not enjoyable, it's stressful not knowing which order I will get and which will be cancelled. I am not paying scalpers for those missing from my collection either. It was a fun ride, shame it ended like this but I have better things to spend my money on which I can enjoy. Good luck out there amiibo-GAF.

I don't see the point in bragging that you haven't spent above retail for any Amiibos. Some of us weren't able to get preorders in time and/or don't have time to hunt them down in stores.

The way I look at it, my time is valuable as well, so I don't mind spending a little extra to avoid all that extra work.

Yup, Sonic and Megaman may show up early as they are showing up at other retailers but as of now 2/20

Just like every other ETA we have in the computer they could arrive earlier but the Sheik and Shulk dates seem to be correct. So none of us really know.

The highest I've paid for an amiibo is 13.99 (after tax), which was the TRU Lucario amiibos. The lowest I've paid where 10.81 for the Marth and WFT Amiibos from Amazon Japan.

Everything else I've purchased through gift cards (Amazon and Gamestop).
