I just wanted to throw in that the Gamestop employee was awesome. He asked if I was collecting it because there was a slightly damaged box and a mint one. I told him I'm collecting it and he got me the mint copy.

Fantastic. I don't get why they get such a bad rap about the workers, when you can have quality interactions like that there!

Seems like at least one amiibo on my end is the hardest to get. And at least with Marth and Capt Falcon, it seems like I may havve found the light at the end of the tunnel.

I see, I'll try to top by after work in the afternoon but my chances are pretty slim by that time. Giving it a shot anyways!

Finally managed to get a Lucario today! My family also sent me a Pickachu in a really amazing Smash/Valentine's package.
We went out in search of Mega Man and Shulk today, but no luck on that front as usual. Up to 11 amiibo now: Villager, Wii Fit, Rosalina (2), Lucario, Pit, Samus, Fox, Pikachu, Toon Link, Link, and Kirby.

Congrats! But hey, curious: what would it take for me to have that second Rosalina? I have a friend who really wants it, and she just told me after I traded off my spares on here.

Probably not decent, but I only managed to get Marth on Nippon-Yasan. Was a bit hefty but eh.

Oh, I thought you knew, but I'll reiterate: I'm taking out a commission with Saludos Amiibos for this project. I'm no painter, but he explained his process, and I'm satisfied with his prior works and his demeanor, so I know they're gonna look fantastic!

So we got 8 Meta Knight, and 3 Sonic's. Probably all for preorders. The guy at GameStop asked me to hold him one, but I can't actually do that if it's for a preorder. I just told them come when we open on the 20th.

Btw, Pikachu would be considered low detail, as far as a custom paintjob goes, so I bet Saludos Amiibos could do it for you for a good price, especially if you provide the figure. You should try to contact him for an estimate. He responds fast. I already got some others here interested in taking out commissions after I started mentioning my 7 Mega Mans project, so why not give it a try?

On a side note, I went with a friend and her two sisters to see the new Spongebob movie this past Sunday. Gotta say, I laughed my ass off!

One of my favorite Spongebob running gags is "My leg!", and when I heard it in the movie, I had to hold my mouth so hard, because I was ready to burst out while the only other one who laughed was my friend! I guess the rest of the audience didn't find it as funny, but how could they not?!
