Has anyone tried the hot/cold water trick on a bent Monado? I know that it should work in theory but I absolutely do not want to screw up my Shulk :(
 
Crazy story - Gamestop calls for me to pick up my Shulk Wednesday. I go, and they don't have them. I call Thursday and they do. I go, but my order is not in the system. The dude that's helping me - really cool guy that has been there forever - does some digging around and finds out it was sent to the store next door, owned by GameStop, called BuyMyTronics. He actually took me to the store and they looked it up on the computer as an incoming shipment.

When you 'ship to store' on the GameStop website, the store option is Glade Rd. BuyMyTronics and right below it, Glade Rd. GameStop. I was always used to clicking on the Glade Rd location - had no idea they added this gadget store as a separate location in the 'ship to store' list.

Anyway, at least I know I'm getting Shulk.
 
Received my Ike today from Amazon (pre-ordered back in November) - I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. There are a lot of little details I didn't expect in a figure of this size and price - the red stitching on his glove, the differently colored belts and straps, etc.

It's not perfect (I think his sword is kinda wonky), but he's one of my favorite characters and it feels like $12.99 well spent.

Ive been posting too much about it lately so probably my last one for now.

I have a sealed NA Little Mac and sealed NA Captain Falcon. Looking for Villager, Marth, or Pit.

his sword looks like ass in every pic i've seen. it's even worse than Marth's. QA is shit for FE characters
 
Looks like I'll be getting a Shulk anyways. Pre-ordered one from Gamestop's second shipment of them in a store. Sadly I'll have to wait until May, but I'm glad I'll be getting him regardless.

do you have bowser? bowser is the heaviest i got, idk what he compares to DDD tho since gamestop still hasn't gotten him yet.
 
As I went to pick up my shulk today there were about 6 other guys there that asked about shulk but didn't have preorders. The cashier put my shulk right on the table in the open. All the guys just stared, pointed, and whispered. They inched closer to look at shulk. Even as I was leaving, they kept acting like they were looking at games but quickly moved to the next section to stay close to me 0.o

I kid you not, I was pretty nervous walking to my car. Thank goodness I parked right at the door.
 
Here's my collection so far, recently received Rosalina, DDD and Meta Knight from nippon-yasan.

The delivery was really quick, quicker than expected anyway. I got eco delivery with tracking and insurance, and it came in around 8 days to the UK. I was also expecting custom's charges knowing my luck but there were none, and it was packaged really well too. I paid more than I would've liked, and probably should've ordered another just to make the shipping charges more value for money, but I'm glad I was able to secure these, because I don't see myself being able to get DDD and MK when they come out in the UK in a week.

Dedede is great looking though, definitely my fave so far and one of my favourite characters. Rosalina is also great, so even if I paid a bit extra, at least they're secured. Would definitely recommend nippon-yasan, so thanks for putting me onto them amiiboGAF.

I'm running out of space though as you can see, you already can't see some of them in their full glory since they're hiding behind others. May have to invest in some sort of collectibles case.
 
I don't know if people have discussed this yet, but you can preorder a second batch of Shulk in-store at GameStop. Doesn't ship until May 1st though.

Haha, I do lots of other stuff! I'm not in this thing 24/7. I have a full-time job, a fiancé, games to play, and friends to see, so I'd have to be insane to devote my entire day and night to this thread!

Though, admittedly, when I get some spare time not tending to other stuff, I do post here in decent spurts. But yeah, trust me, just because I'm the Top Poster doesn't mean I live and breathe amiiboGAF. I'll readily admit that I do like it here, so I like to stay active!
 
I want to wish everyone luck tomorrow! I think I'm just going to depend on Gamestop for the rest of Wave 3 (have them all pre-ordered in store)... other than Meta Knight, of course.

I will be spending all day hoping that GameStop puts the Skull Kid MM bundle up... and hoping I'm available if/when they do.
 
damn my TRU in central california will be getting 4 mega man 4 sonic, 1 DDD no ike. only 1 per customer. This and the MM 3ds tomorrow will make things really tough to get a mega man. Does anyone think target will sell their stock online starting tomorrow?

Good luck to you too. I'm headed to Toys R Us to get my chance at FINALLY grabbing Mega Man, so I hope that goes off without a hitch. Maybe I'll even grab Ike and Dedede, at least as spares for trading.

Here's hoping GS does the LE game. They did the MM system after the fact, and now Shulk, so who knows at this point.

I actually had no idea what you meant when you said her character was blue, so I googled it, and apparently she was in that last X-Men movie. I get it now, ha!
haven't seen the movie, don't like the Fox X-Men series

She seems cool, but there ain't a whole lot in media that I like more than Mega Man, so the answer to your question is a resounding "Nope!"

funny how I thought this wave would be impossible for me even though i didn't pre-order, but it looks like I'll get them all. On the other hand I naively thought wave 2 would be easy and am still missing half of them
 
Bad news, GS pushed Ike and Dedede to next week with Sonic and Mega Man :(
I hope its not a sign Sonic and MM will be pushed back as well.

Today on my way to work, I get a call and the person says:

"Hi, I'm calling from Target and we found our shipment of Rosalinas. We're now going down the list for everyone who showed up and put their name down. Are you still interested?"

Holy shit! I really didn't expect Target to come through.

The back story is on release day, the Target I picked couldn't find their box of 21 units. Someone there says they saw it on Thursday but nobody was there from the night before so they didn't have a clue where it was. As a result they took names down and had a limit of two per person. So I was about 5th in line and asked for two. When they didn't call that day, I figured it was a lost cause. Even if they found it, I figure someone would just put the shipment out not knowing about the list. Every day I checked and I would see their stock count not budge though and it was the only store in the area showing a ton of stock. They changed it to a limit of 1 since they had so many people interested, but I wasn't going to argue. I can't believe what just happened.
 
Got Shulk this morning. Apparently GameStop has a new policy where they have to put stickers on everything now, even pre-orders. I even asked about it. I didn't plan on taking Shulk out of his box. So now I have to carefully take the sticker off.

It's almost like a separate hobby, taking these stickers off. I'd rather them not be there, but I don't mind taking them off.
 
Awww man, Gamestop's Mario Party 10 mega-bundle thing won't let me check out... every time I try to pay it kicks me out, but it lets me put it right back in my cart.
 
I called into my GameStop just to check on the 0.0000000000001% chance that they got in any extra, non-preorder Majora's Mask New 3DSXLs. Yeah, no. I also asked about amiibos of course, and he confirmed that they're now not expecting Ike and Dedede until the 20th along with Sonic and Mega Man :/. So now they've gone from the 1st, to the 13th, to the 20th there....I wish these things would just come out everywhere at the same time
 
So, I'm guessing at this point that it won't be until closer to or after the release of the Mario line of Amiibos on March 20 that there will be US pre-orders available for wave 4.

Judging by the gap in releases for some of the figures between the US and other countries, I could see wave 4 maybe coming out in early May for North America if it's delayed a couple weeks from the April 24 release date shown on amazon.co.uk.

Incorrect. That's not a policy, because the store I went to, there were no stickers, because there's no point to put the stickers on a preordered one that will never hit the sales floor. That's what I talked about with the manager. So, whoever told you that is pulling it out of their ass. Don't settle for it, ask them to not place the sticker when your amiibos come in. Shouldn't be too hard of a request.
