Question to anyone who's ordered Amiibo figures from GameStop online - are they packaged well for shipping? I've bought all my Amiibo so far in-store.

Yep, my Mega Man came in a nice box with some brown paper as padding. Amiibo box was in flawless condition. Don't forget to use coupon code SAVER for free shipping if you spend more than $25.

Even though he doesn't come out until September, based on what we see, I can't figure out if Olimar has all 3 Pikmin with his amiibo AND IT'S STRESSING ME OUT FOR SOME REASON.
ideally won't need much luck with gamestop. We know preorders go live at 2, as long as the servers hold for a bit I will get the single ness I want from them (and I suppose I will preorder a robin and female marth if amazon and bestbuy haven't gone live)
the real trick will be when will best buy and amazon go live (both of which are cheaper for me to order from as bb has GCU and amazon has free shipping unlike gamestop... as I have never gotten saver to work with preorders on gamestop)
bestbuy might go live at midnight cdt.
they might go live at 1 am cdt
they might go live at noon cdt
they might not go live until a random day later this month at 1:27pm with no warning.
amazon could go live at 2am cdt (midnight pdt which they are set to) or a random time in the next week or so :/
I wish we had times for all of them.

Today is a good example.
Mostly because Amiibos always have some sort of relevant news being made, from shipment delays, preorder coming up, new releases, ect.
I understand your point but the thread is more suited here imo.

Tomorrows going to mark my first expedition amiibo hunting since the release of Smash. It's been just targets of opportunity up til now, but as a diehard Mother fan I have to get a Ness amiibo (and now a Lucas one too when it comes out!). Already called in work to take a half day so I can get to a gamestop just over two hours before the preorder becomes available. Hopefully that's enough, but you never know. Wish me luck!

None have been designated for in store pre order only?

So I haven't been following this latest collectible craziness but guessing by the OT number this is serious business. What's the guess on how long it lasts? Reminds me of the Beenie Baby business. Will people be haggling for Amiibos in 10 years?

It's a limited Nintendo product line that includes popular obscure characters and variants. I highly doubt any non-common amiibo will lose its value.
no matter what I tried with Tales of Hearts, and my shulk amiibo preorder I could never get free shipping via the website.
I imagine if I went in store and did their stupid web order thing that would get me free shipping, but in general I would rather miss out on a given item then step into my nearby gamestops (for the record I am not against gamestops in general, just my local ones)
At least there's utility here

nope, pretty sure you don't. Unless your like EBGames where you'll have to pay a deposit.
Chrono already has a dedicated legion of fans that would already place him at #1 regardless of the competition.
Bomberman has nearly nobody, because they see him as someone to add 55 votes later after Hatsune Miku, Lanky Kong and Jughead Jones.
Vote Bomberman. Give Hudson Soft's pride and joy a better home.
