Honestly the yarn yoshi seem cheap to make and easy to pack, so I want to think they are going to be fairly common.
it's nintendo... I expect green to be common, pink to be rare, and light blue to be a nintendo world exclusive :/

This exclusive nonsense is making what should be fun, extremely frustrating. I completely understand the people who are choosing to leave amiibo collecting; I'm beginning to have second thoughts myself.
TRU had Pokemon and at one point TRU had a bit of a deal with Tomy to distribute Pokemon merch there, so that would be my best guess.
