Amplitude (Harmonix) PS3/PS4 - KS (Funded, final day)

I'll be pledging on Friday. Hopefully it'll get funded. I'll buy it regardless. Looks interesting and I doubt the Sony execs will let this go unfounded. They'll easily pony up a few k for the cause.

For those of you wondering what this game is about, I'm about to playthrough some if you are interested in what the original looks like. This is the second time i've played the game.

This entire KickStarter is more intense than S1 of TwitchPlaysPokemon. Looking up charts and trends and graphs and metrics. I hope it makes it far enough to the point where the Vita stretch goal is officially on the table/announced. I will consider donating then but not a moment before.

I was so happy when they announced this kickstarter I have missed this game. I went from my 40 to 100 may up it again if need be. It ends on the 23rd my birthday best birthday ever a new Amplitude.
John Drake and Co at Harmonix have been great to me awesome games and the giantbomb entertainment hope this suceeds

It sucks that kickstarter has so limited options for backing. Official PayPal-support should be a given.

Amazon seems easier to me. /shrug

Vita stretch goal needs to happen. Vita gamers are hardcore, could bring in a lot extra.

Agreed. I'm in for $40 right now, but i'd jump to the $70 or $100 tier if they added a Vita port.

Not really. And outside the US a lot of people don't have a credit card.

Lol, what? What is this based on? Can't see any reason why a non-US person would be more or less likely to have a credit card. I like it going through Amazon. Having never backed a Kickstarter before, paying via a known and trusted retailer adds a feeling of security, even if it is just superficial.

In Northern Europe its more common to have debit card than credit card. Almost anybody can get debit card, not so with credit. Also There are fees on credit cards so people prefer debit for that reason. Thats why paypal is nice.

You can't add debit MasterCard/Visas on Amazon?

Fair point. You can use a debit card online the same as a credit card though. I've made purchases from amazon.com using a UK debit card on multiple occasions.

Uhh, lots of people in Europe don't have a creditcard (In comparison with the US), I've worked in the retail business for years and I've never seen someone pay with a creditcard in my life, neither do I know someone with one (these examples are subjective though)
People prefer other payment methods like using a debit card from their own bank.
You also need to have an income (work) to use a creditcard over here, otherwise it will get blocked.

I only pay for my bank account, not extra for debit or credit card (have both). Of course I have to pay interest if I failed to pay off credit at the end of the month, but I can pay off everything without penalty after my paycheck. Agree on the other parts though.

Anyway: backed for $20. First game Kickstarter I've backed so far. Maybe just because I think Harmonix deserves to win this thing.

Well, if it doesn't get funded, that'll cost you just short of $800k. Nevertheless, I feel it's fair to take that as a commitment, and I'm sure Harmonix appreciate your support :-)

Debit cards work with Amazon, you don't need a credit card. I would know because I don't have a credit card.

Yep. It's been quite the emotional roller coaster for the regulars like myself here. It was so depressing just a handful of days ago. A lot of the discussion was toxic and pretty much nitpicks and port complaints. Everyone knew that it would get a good boost near the end nowhere near this.

Upped to $40 from $20.

Yes it's only early access, but I want to see this make it. I also just realised that I'd hate to read peoples' impressions on here and have to wait an extra 2 weeks to play the game myself.

Barkerville on YouTube, posted by Wario64, I presume.

That entire video is hilarious. The fact that Brad thought up this song as a kid, and then remembered it 25 years later, name and all.

I've never backed a Kickstarter, and I never played Amplitude, but I've got a PS4 and I'm pretty confident I'd enjoy the game well enough. I'm backing this bitch.

I did my part, just pledged 100 bucks. The print I will probably give to a friend, who is a huge fan of the PS2 game.

Please happen! ;_;

Has anyone explained reasonably why Harmonix doesn't have the cash to make this themselves?

Do I want the game? Yes. I'm just a little miffed that Harmonix, developer of Guitar Hero, Rock Band and Dance Central apparently can't fund their own games.

Yes. Multiple times. They even posted a whole article about it.

They've said over and over again they aren't sitting on a pile of money.
