IMPRESSIONS after beating two campaign regions and the first quickplay area:
Good:
- Gameplay is tight as ever. Feels EXACTLY like Amplitude PS2
- Challenging as hell. The higher number of synth songs means the patterns are generally more complex.
- The music, while not as diverse or recognizable as Amplitude/FreQ, is still really enjoyable and groovy
Bad:
- Want more song diversity. The licensed remixes from Amplitude/FreQ--peppered with in-house music--made the game
Overall:
If you enjoyed Amplitude/FreQ, well, you've probably preordered and are already playing. It's not a sequel--it's a remaster, with none of the original music, for better or worse. I'm loving it.
