Amplitude launches on PS4 Jan 5, 2016

I am so ready. I'm ready to get destroyed by some more komputer kontroller.

Maybe not the best release date, but I'm pumped. I backed the Kickstarter almost as soon as I saw it. Amplitude is/was one of my favorite PS2 games so I'm glad it's finally getting a second chance.

Just got my email, people who backed at the $40 tier or higher will receive the game two weeks earlier, on December 23rd.
Can't wait!

Looks great! Wish they has a budget to get some more well-known music, but loved the music in the trailer. Can't wait to play.

It's harder than I remember playing with the PS4 shoulder buttons since they have a different sort of resistance to them. I'd recommend just using the face buttons if you wanna do the harder stuff.

Played so much Amplitude. It will always be the game that put Harmonix on the map for me. Launch trailer looks great. So looking forward to this.

I wonder how would backers feel if it was PS+ game in January. Its releasing on the first tuesday of the month, it may be reaching, but we've already seen Broken Age on PS+.

i'd be annoyed personally. i don't mind stuff i've backed being on PS+ down the line, but not day one. at the end of the day backing is just buying. and i'd feel short changed if they gave it away "free" immediately.

Huh, interesting hypothetical.

If it launched as a plus title I'd be a little annoyed but not exactly angry. A few months in? I wouldn't really care.

I backed the game for $130 and I wouldnt care. The point of backing a game like this is to make sure it actually gets made in the first place. Once they ship it and deliver me what I was promised, it's up to them how the handle things after that. PS+ would be great if it gets more people playing the game.

I'd be fine with it. I backed the game because I wanted it to get made, not necessarily just to get a copy.

Glad to see other people get it too. My man!

I know it would annoy some but I wouldn't care. I backed the game to make it a reality. HMX gets paid either way and PS+ would mean a larger audience to check it out (see Rocket League) why should I care if 'buying' the game is direct or indirect?

well, we backed it to get it made. they can do whatever they want to get more people to play it. same thing happened with Massive Chalice on GwG and I have nothing against it.

I don't think you understand what crowdfunding is.

Wtf is this tracklist?

I was looking forward to this. So much.

Original Amplitude on PS2 was so great because of the music, because of Blink 182, POD, Slipknot, Weezer, Run DMC.

When did this become a techno/trance game?

Disappointed...

^^ You seem to have forgotten that all of those were techno remixes of the original tracks.

Backers are supposed to get it 2 weeks early. Do we know if the Jan 5th date is the general release date (and backers will get it around Dec 22nd)?

Who needs Christmas when I'll have Amplitude early for being a backer*?

*Subject to SCEE releasing it on time.

I'm going I'd to the soundtrack mostly blind. Recession and Synthesized I already own in RB4, Impossible is my favourite track from Transistor and Phantoms is by Freezepop and ergo I'm already wondering where I can download it.

at the end of the day backing is just buying.
That's a horrible mentality and it's why so many get burned because a Kickstarter/Indie GO GO Campaign they backed gets canned/fails.

Backing a project just means your giving a project the potential to become reality not that it's guarantee to succeed or that your actually entitled to receive anything in return for your invesment and pretty much all projects state that the possibility of a project failure is there.

On topic thou I will give the game a look in March or April since my backlog is too big right now.

FreQuency was amateur inhouse music. This is essentially FreQ 2.

Some of them were, yes. Just took a look at the original tracklist. Weezer, Blink and many more were the original songs.

Gotta hope for a pop/rock DLC then

I backed at $100 and I wouldn't mind. I want as many people to be able to play this as possible.
