Officer dragged by car outside service station
Monday, May 30, 2005
A Cleveland policeman was injured early Sunday when he was dragged by a car when the driver backed up suddenly in a service station parking lot, police reported.
John Browning, a 13-year veteran, was treated at MetroHealth Medical Center for multiple head, leg and body scrapes. He was initally released, but he returned to MetroHealth Sunday night for re-evaluation.
Police said the motorist, whose name was not released, had received a ticket for playing loud music at the Marathon station at East 55th Street and Woodland Avenue about five minutes earlier and drove off. When he returned to the station, he was still playing loud music, police said.
When Browning opened the car door and tried to arrest the driver, the suspect sped backward more than 100 feet, trapping Browning against the door.
When the car stopped suddenly, Browning was thrown onto the pavement, and the motorist sped off again, police said. Police were searching for him Sunday night.

Needless to say he will be fired. I knew he was a retard from the day he started. But I never thought he was capable of something like this. :lol :lol :lol
btw: it says his name wasn't released on the website, but it was released in the paper.
