And so the E3 2016 Hype Begins

EA isn't technically at E3, so they shifted their conference to the Sunday before the show opens. Unclear who will take their spot in the Monday lineup.

This is gonna be a wierd E3 for me. That Monday is my graduation ceremony, and I'm going to have to watch the entire thing on a time delay.

All the conferences are always before the show opens, usually with Nintendo taking the morning of the doors opening. EAs conference lines up exactly with last year's line up, so I'm guessing that Sony will be in the morning of GMT and Nintendo will be in the afternoon after.

These past few E3s have been weird for me as well, seeing as Sonys always aligned with an exam the morning afterward. That doesn't seem to be the case this year so I'm very happy about that. E3 is always a great little break in the middle of exams.

GOW4 is now the only thing I know exists that hasn't been announced that I am anticipating.

Looking forward to that epic reveal and GT:S gameplay/info.

(Speaking of FF7, I predict that Square Enix will put a playable demo inside FF15 in some way.)

I'm going to say no to that for a few reasons.

1. FF15 is multiplatform. FFVII Remake is coming to PS4 first and other platforms later. Packing it in with FFXV would create a confusing PR situation because some are going to interpret that as FFVIIR is coming to X1 at the same time as PS4, which isn't the case at this point.

2. From a business standpoint, you don't need to use FFVIIR to sell FFXV. S-E has already spent a ton of money on FFXV's marketing. FFVIIR could be used as a trojan horse to sell one of their lesser titles, much like MGS2 demo did for ZoE, Halo 3 beta did for Crackdown, and most recently FFXV demo for FF Type 0.

3. Something like this would've been announced at the FFXV Uncovered Event. You don't spend millions on an event like that and leave an announcement like this out.

Nintendo's most important E3 in a while. Right now they are as relevant as a tamagotchi. With two outdated as heck consoles that are due to be replaced like right now. This could be their last chance to prove to the masses that they still got with their upcoming games and new hardware with all the NX buzz going around. If they pull the same lame stuff they did last year..... Y I K E S!

I'm hoping to every single god known to man that the last Direct was just the "Wii U"'s last pitiful hurrah. If Nintendo comes to E3 with the NX equivalents of Paper Mario: Color Splash and Federation Force the disappointment will be too much to handle. No matter how decent those games might be, Nintendo needs to show to us that they know what's up. This is their big chance to do that, I hope they don't fuck it up.

New hardware hype awww yisss.
I hope Microsoft and Sony also come out and say games will be patched so they run at higher resolution (at least, maybe more stable fps by brute forcing) on the new hardware.
I want to see Halo 5 and locked 1080p. Uncharted 4 MP at 1080p, Sunset Overdrive 1080p...etc.

it's safe to assume that the PS4k will be there in some form and that we'll get at least the design of the NX or the design of the NX controller.

Now for the games mass effect andromeda , last guardian , horizon , GT Sports will be there , with probably some Zelda .

On microsoft side , scalebound will probably have another gameplay video with some re-core gameplay

There will probably be some wild speculation whenever microsoft will also make an xbone upgrade during the weeks before the E3.

Suprise : nintendo will reveal bayonnetta 3 !
^^ let me hope^^

I would so like to attend E3 this year but I'm still very poor. Ah well, at least I can help out by creating the E3 General Information & FAQ thread again.

As for what I am interested in seeing, NX is definitely priority. But I am also interested in any new hardware Microsoft and Sony respectively have to show. And The Last Guardian.

Bethesda think they've got enough ammo in the chamber to host another presser.

EA going off doing their own thing hopefully bringing some meaningful stuff to back them up.

Ubi going to defy all odds and actually show Beyond Good & Evil 2.

Microsoft throwing every idea at the wall to get people excited about their crazy future for Xbox.

Sony attempting to top their Triple Threat presser last year and teasing the Crash fans.

NX

crash-bandicoot-return.jpg

I want him to where that shirt again and not announce it again.

NX
PS4K
XO.5
Mass Effect: Andromeda
Titanfall 2
Evil within 2
Battlefield 5
Wolfenstien 2
Horizon 3
Halo wars 2

sequels galore

Most hyped for the NX and new Nintendo games for it. I just want to know what it is.

Mass Effect Andromeda footage is second on my list.

And Persona 5 news if we don't get something before June.

EA gimme Skate 4

Bethesda gimme Prey 2

Microsoft gimme a new Conker

Ubi gimme Beyond Good & Evil 2

Nintendo gimme NX as a great console with Mario Universe

and

Sony gimme Crash Bandicoot

its ok guys, I can handle disappointment

This. Microsoft practically owes us a Conker game after what they have been doing to him lately. :/

NeoGAF will just melt down during the conference anyway.

Yep, I know all about that. Just seeing the site absolutely crash and burn when that wombo combo at Sony's was hilarious and hype inducing at the same time.

I wonder what will happen when the NX is finally revealed to be the return of the Vitality Sensor.

E3 is dampened a bit this year by the knowledge that I desperately need some new form of income to afford the Cool New Shit.

Oh, so I'd rather be on a steam chat than refresh the thread all the time so is anyone willing to invite me to the NeoGAF steam group?

My scattered thoughts...

- I'm irrationally annoyed that we're going to get yet another No Man's Sky walkthrough. Not a Sony conference without one...

- As far as expected games, Nier Automata and Persona 5 (lol) are my most anticipated. For me personally, those two have the potential to define the entire generation.

- I'm also hoping we get another collaboration between From Software and Sony (two more games left in their contract), and a surprise localization or two (my hope for PSO2 springs eternal).

- Since Vita means death, I'm hoping the NX handheld swoops in and fills that niche for truly cutting edge, mind-blowing tech that's been unfilled since the PSP. Software will continue to make or break Nintendo's hardware aspirations, so they better go all out to prove that Splatoon wasn't a fluke and that they're not just a Mario and his shitty friends factory.

- Couldn't care less about PS4K or XB1.5 unless that increase in power really makes a difference for VR capabilities down the line.

I'm going to say no to that for a few reasons.

I disagree with the first point, but agree with the others. The FFVIIR demo is a golden ticket, and one that could be deployed to prop up a more struggling title. No point bundling it with a game that will already sell millions. And yeah, that would be news too big to exclude from Uncovered.

My guess is they throw something VII related into one of the FFXV special editions, maybe just a teaser.

Also, the game will be confirmed for NX at E3. With Cloud Amiibo functions.
