the ability to buy from a full selection of new and used games at 11:30pm!!! I had always hoped for gaming to come to a day where you werent restricted to buying games between 10am and 9-10pm. anyone else take advantage of this benefit yet?

There are no Gamerushes on this side of the country, but all of the BB's around here offer the same trade-in values and sell a small selection of new and used games, so that works for me. I can buy games from them as late as 1 am if I want.

I had an EB clerk throw a fucking fit on me a couple of weeks ago when I wouldn't take their shitty, sticker-covered open copy of Republic Commando off his hands. I hate that shit.

Well, gamers in Michigan have been accustomed to a halfway decent 24 hour selection at their local Meijer for years. They used to only have the title you really want half the time, but they've recently remodeled most of the stores around where I live to include a much broader selection.

Even then, you still have to bug somebody to go open the case for you late at night because no one's manning the gaming section, but if you REALLY need to buy a copy of PS2 Jeopardy when you're out drinking with your friends, at least there's the option.

Thanks to Gamerush, I've got every current gen title I want to play preordered, along with a couple upcoming PSP games.

I'm just waiting for some preorder deal involving the X360 so I can make out like a bandit. Then again, I haven't been to the local one yet to see if they'll allow me to use the current $30 PO deal for the next gen games (I doubt it, but it doesn't hurt to ask...I might find an idiot).

The Meijer's near me is so late in getting the latest titles. And their prices are so expensive, I don't even bother unless there's a specific sale in the paper, or they do a Buy 1 Get 1 50% off sale.

The thing about Meijers is that they are another store that you never know the price of the game until it hits the register. It's odd what will get shoved in their case at times too. I went to one a while ago and they had a stack of new Firefighter FD for PS2 for 4.99 It's a fairly rare game and I bought them all to eBay. Chances are if it's an old game, it will be discounted at the register. I just dread it because they always have some surly idiot working the section.

Fuckers charge $8 for PSX controllers that I can get for $3 at a Funco or EB.

If they didn't carry Saturn and old 16-bit stuff I'd never go there.
