Are you on a dev preview? Last I checked, security updates take a back seat if you are.No update on Pixel XL and the security patch level is July 5th. Freakin Google.

(Speaking of V30, apparently the quad DAC that was restricted to Asia in the G6 will be included globally this time around.)
Does oreo help?considering my 6p has started shutting off at 70% the v30 is looking compelling
Nope, I'm all official. 7.1.2.Are you on a dev preview? Last I checked, security updates take a back seat if you are.
Currently only way to get oreo is to sign up to beta then Ota. It's not pushed to official branch yet.Nope, I'm all official. 7.1.2.
Any hope at all that Oreo comes to the S7?

which LG phones legitimately have bootloop issues?
"all of them" isn't an acceptable answer
in regards to the V30, if it impresses me, I might be just crazy enough to...

G4, V10, G5, V20, Nexus 5X and a plethora of lower end device i imagine.
Opp4 was basically release clientoreo seems like a super minor update for s8.
like all the key features are shit samsung already has.
Whatever happened to that RED phone?

Anyone move from a pixel XL to Galaxy S8 plus? What are the main differences?
Well, I didn't move but I have a Pixel and an S8.
- The S8 has a reachability mode.
- The S8's floating window and splitscreen UI are significantly better (less of a gap with Oreo tbh).
- The S8 has Bixby, which you may consider a plus or minus.
- The S8 can have more compact notifications that are less intrusive than stock.
- Samsung Pay and Android Pay are both supported.
- The S8 supports Gear VR and Daydream.
- The S8 has a proper hardware backed secure folder that can store items and apps behind biometrics.
- There's a few nice bits in the camera app (like holding up your hand to trigger a selfie), though I'd consider the camera apps in general to be roughly equivalent.
- The S8 has a game mode to suspend notifications etc.
- The S8 supports multiple bluetooth audio devices via BT 5.0
- The S8 is more themable than Google's stock, unless you are okay with Substratum use.
- The S8 comes with (almost all removable) versions of the core apps, some of which are quite good (I really value information density, so I quite like the Samsung Gallery and SMS apps).
- Samsung's backup solution is clunky, but at least it fucking exists. what
Google broke bluetooth AGAIN with the Oreo update.
Thank you based Google. Always there for the users with BT.
What's wrong with it? Working alright on my Pixel C with my speaker and controls plus keyboard. might be a device based thing?
Looking at the feedback already posted by device owners, we can see that issues include the following:
Android Auto
Media content not displaying correctlyShowing paired but no audio playingPlays music for a few seconds before breaking, nothing showing on screenIncoming calls work but outgoing reverts to the phone's speakers
Headphones & Speakers
Audio cuts out briefly every 5-20 seconds"Skipping and clipping sounds like a scratched CD"
General
Bluetooth switching off almost as soon as it's turned on (which the user also experienced in Nougat)
Damn, Google music always stutters on my S7 Edge. It drives me crazy. I'm assuming it's fine on the Pixel and One Plus 5?

Can you replace bixby with Google app?
And you said that all Samsung apps can be removed?
Works fine on my S8+ and my wife's S6.
Have you tried clearing app data?
Thanks!

Can hide or package disable. Can't remove.
Bixby button can be remapped through work around. Google assistant is always there anyways so holding home button behaves as it should.

Well this post is an eye opener lol. Why the hell does stock Android still not have a true one handed mode?
