Yeah, it's still set in the 30's. If you watch a few video diaries back they have a lot on the new york set with the old cars.

PJ is still hobbit-like....still can't seem to wear shoes on set. At least he's got a couple new shorts/t-shirt outfits.

Maybe it's just me, but I can't take the original King Kong seriously. The scenario worked back in the 30s...but seriously, I'm picturing a CG Kong climbing a building with Naomi Watts in his hands and I can't help but also picture me laughing at the theater.
