I agree, I'm curious what the space stuff is about and how they explain the research lab. I hope they have a good worldbuilding foundation for it all, as I can't imagine there are may great apes in the US to be originator of colonies so the ape:smart human ratio should be pretty even across the continent and even more so in places like Europe or south america.

I haven't watched the trilogy but I just watched this. I enjoyed it. But who is going to be the big bad of there's a sequel? I have to watch the trilogy now.

Really liked Noa and the apes in this. The burn scar and Caesars birthmark were a little on the nose though.

Thought Freya Allen did well too. I had doubts and her part wasn't great but she did well bringing the ambiguity of trust to the fore, when it would have been easy to just show a simple apes and human collective. But the future looks more uncertain than ever.

Wasn't as good as the original trilogy but it could have been worse and I enjoyed it for what it was.
