Angela Rye absolutely sons Joe Walsh

Every time Angela Rye is on CNN she makes the best "Are you fucking kidding me?" "Oh hell no." face. I love when she guests on The BReakfast Club.

May I recommend everyone read the comments on an alternate view of the same clip. It has the same words with only half the sense

I'm tired of hearing the angry black woman routine on cable news. This woman is obviously full of shit. Obama was the most coddled president of my lifetime. Nothing but softballs from the MSM, SNL, Late Night shows, etc. The only ones that held him accountable was Fox, AM radio, and a few publications. Joe could have done a better job here articulating that in my opinion.

Angela's rise was one of the bright spots in this election cycle.
As soon as she starts/joins a podcast, I'm in at any price.
I've already told the guys at CrookedMedia to give her a platform.

Does anyone know what conservatives think Obama was coddled about? What major scandal was undercovered to benefit Obama? It's all so stupid; the only one I can think of is Benghazi and even that was covered ad nauseam.

Sons is a verb now?

So this is what it feels like to get older and not want to conform to using stupid new verbs.

The heck is "sons"? Never heard that used as a verb in my life.

brand new to me

Stuff like this always makes me laugh. It reminds of when people finally caught onto "throwing shade", "fam", and "taking L's" after about 20-30 years. Now they have new toy to play with and they are running it into ground like usual. Its cute.

"I don't know why you have a platform, but you shouldn't."- That statement pretty much applies to all conservative media, I'd say.

I'm glad Rye made her point without being led astray by Walsh's asinine questions. She really is too intelligent for the likes of men like him.

And, CNN is as disappointing as ever. It always has to be "both sides are equal." This was an excellent time to hold someone accountable for a ridiculous public statement, and the anchor was useless. At least they didn't cut away to Rick Santorum for some light-hearted banter this time.

Angela Rye on political opinion panels is kind of like the role of Luke in Star Wars- somebody the audience can relate to as they are led on an increasingly strange and dangerous adventure.

Bar was lowered for Obama? A super eloquent and educated person with legal training and experience in politics and activism?

Then we get clowns like Trump.

I mean... it doesn't even make sense at all.

Well done Angela. The comment about black people having to work twice as hard is very true.

Everything she said was true. If Barack Obama had 3 different wives that fathered his 5 kids it would have been a non-starter. Think about how many people said he was a Muslim had he messed up that Bible verse like Trump did it would've been all over conservative news. Had he said he grabbed women by the pussy he would've been politically dead. To say the bar was lowered because Obama was black when you now have a president with no experience and literally no qualifications is just absurd.

I wish more people who spotlight what else she said during this interview.

Like when she called out CNN for allowing bigots on air.

They need to be held accountable for that.

Love Angela, heard her more when she's on the breakfast club and on brilliant idiots.

I don't get the sonning - as a debate or discussion there was a lot left to be desired.

Ya'll really need to get over this. Yes...people use words in different ways in everyday life. It's not a new phenomenon.
And that's fine in everyday life. On a international message board with thousands of people who try to read and write in a to them foreign language and plenty of English speaking people who don't have the knowledge of lots of slang, it is polite to try to write in a common understood language, unless the subject needs specific terms. Communication on this board would be a disaster if everyone types in his local language.

How about not being lazy and taking a few minutes to just read the OP and getting the context of the title from that? I encounter words, US and foreign celebrities, politicians, books, movies, games, etc I don't understand from the title alone all the time on this forum on both Gaming side and the OT and usually the OP and/or any article links in the OP help me understand what the OP title is talking about, if I can't get the context from the title alone (What else would "absolutely sons" mean in the topic title anyway?). If not, then I use Google ("sons verb" gives me the urban dictionary website). There's no real reason to continue derailing this thread over 80s-90s English slang.

I watched this live yesterday, and I immediately became a fan of hers. And yeah that 'respect each other/both sides' attitude from the anchor is ridicilous since the other party is a buffoon that tweets this:

This joker shouldn't even get a second of airtime

I dunno, Luke gets tempted by the dark side a bit. Angela would never. Van Jones is a more accurate comparison to Luke

Yup.

I read the OP and thought "Oh man, Joe Walsh is a racist? He always seemed so cool in interviews" and then I watched the video and realized it's not the dude from the Eagles and oh yeah I'm really fucking old.
I thought the same thing. Was super bummed for a second...

Perhaps our Joe Walsh of choice should "son" this Joe Walsh, and get Henley to come out from the abyss to banish him to Hotel California for eternity

I've never seen this Brooke lady before but she was a dreadful moderator. Let's all be nice and give this racist fool his chance.

This Joe Walsh guy is a sad excuse for a human being and literally had no argument. Angela stomped him hard and it was satisfying to watch.

I liked the bit about Michelle and Barack hurdling every bar rather than having it lowered. The context of the You did one Term gif was gold.

Walsh appearing on the same panel as Rye & treated as an opposing opinion worth equal weight and consideration is kind of a win for him and people like him though.

Its like climate change deniers appearing on panels with distinguished profs, yes, they lose in the moment, but they win by forcing the prof to waste time intellectually engaging their circus act buffoonery. By keeping the conversation in the gutter, they drag the level of discourse into the ground, which is what they want.

Sadly you're right.
